Up at 7am Saturday morning, my guy and I packed our bags to hit the road for Chapel Hill for his nephews 4th birthday party + a little weekend getaway at The Umstead Hotel & Spa.
So not a morning person, I tend to stay in the sheets as long as I possibly can allowing just enough time to get ready and out the door. On mornings like this, a smoothie is the best way for me to get in a nutritionally packed breakfast in a matter of just a couple minutes! :)
Saturday's Green Smoothie Love:
♡ 2 Handfuls Zen Deep Greens (Earth Fare)
♡ 1 Banana
♡ 1/2 cup frozen mango chunks
♡ Juice of 1/2 lemon
♡ organic ginger root (about 1 inch chunk)
♡ 3/4 cup water
Topped off with chia seeds to make this smoothie a bit more filling & keep me satisfied for our car ride. Ginger + Lemon made this cup of green goodness super refreshing, cleansing & energizing. Banana + Mango gives the perfect amount of sweetness - water is all you need as your base!
