Hiya, loves! Happy Sunday evening! Hope you all had an amazing weekend! Mine couldn't have been better! Adam got in on Friday night after being in LA for 3+ weeks. Needless to say, I could not wait to pick him up from the airport Friday evening! We had a busy busy weekend full of fun! Saturday, I had an amazing workout during the afternoon before it was time to get ready and go to a wedding for our beautiful friends, Kevin & Jenny! After a fun night of friends, drinks & dancing, we slept until 10am on Sunday (yikes!) and had a very chill morning until we had to get ready for a birthday brunch I had planned for Adam. (Wednesday was actually his birthday, which he obviously wasn't here for) As much as I would have loved to get a yoga or sweat sesh in, it just didn't happen. I had some killer workouts this week + several rest days which has me feeling pretty awesome and ready for another awesome, active week ahead.

I was sooo tired & dragging all damn day. I kept putting off going to the gym until just before 5pm. Even as I walked thru the door, I still didn't want to be there. I got on the treadmill, stuck my headphones in and 2 songs in, my mindset had completely changed and I was so happy to be there. I'm not saying I smashed a workout or anything, but I was happy I went (as always) and winded up having a pretty decent workout. I think my legs were still recovering from my run on Saturday and for whatever reason, I just felt overall...meh

Warm Up was a bunch of dynamic warm ups + loads of mat pilates exercises for the boootay + a quick 5 minutes on the treadmill.

SPLIT SQUAT + DB BICEP CURL: 15x4 (30 total / 15 each leg)

BEFORE WEIGHTS: 20 minutes / power walk: .50 mile / run 1 mile
AFTER WEIGHTS: 5 whopping minutes on the stair master + 15 on the treadmill

there's really no way for me to explain this. I did about 30 minutes of a gazillion toning exercises on the mat + BOSU Ball targeting my core & booty. Lots of stability working, standing & kneeling on the BOSU. Push Up Variations & all kinds of fun stuff.
I really wish I could have gotten in a workout today but at the end of the day, it was Adam's first weekend home in nearly a month & we had such a celebratory weekend between our friends wedding + his birthday brunch, which leads me to share one of my favorite quotes...
