Helllloooo & Happy Sunday. Hope everyone is having an awesome weekend. I love this weeks smoothie & excited to share! I've been wanting to make this Pumpkin & Quinoa recipe for a while and finally made this delish Smoothie on Wednesday morning and OMG, was it good. Tasted like Pumpkin Pie. Yum! Really puts you in the mood for fall - my favorite season.
Quinoa Pumpkin Smoothie
- 1/2 Cup Organic Quinoa - 1/3 Cup Organic Pumpkin Puree - 1 Banana - Cinnamon - Pumpkin Spice - 1 Scoop Raw Vanilla Protein - Vanilla Almond Milk (unsweetened) & Ice!
This smoothie was so easy to throw together! I cooked up a cup of quinoa while I was drinking coffee. (takes about 20 minutes) Pop open a can of pumpkin & just throw the rest of the ingredients in the blender. I added a little more ice than usual because of the warm ingredients and probably about 1/2 cup of Almond Milk. Having the quinoa in this smoothie was super satisfying & kept me full for hours. I'm typically hungry again within 2 hours after my usual green smoothie. I still love starting off my day with a green smoothie but its good & fun to switch it up every once in a while.
