Hello Hello. Happy Sunday lovelies. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! My weekend was super long and busy, but so good - filled with tons of yoga, friends and made some new friends during this weekends training. Still feeling yoga drunk after Friday nights Deep Stretch class + first bit of the training weekend, I got home & passssssed out like a baby. This was the first time I've fallen asleep before midnight in I cannot tell you how long - Ahhhmazing. In the spirit of the Deep Stretch yoga weekend and being gentler on our bodies, I slept in and lingered in my Saturday morning. Coffee, fruit bowl + a little work for my new project, followed by an easy breezy walk (sans iPhone) to enjoy the gorgeous morning.
so this is what happens when you set out to make an omelette but everything sticks to the bottom of the pan...you get a really ugly scramble. No way to make this look pretty, but it tasted delicious. You can't really tell the egg whites from the goat cheese & there's tons of spinach + sunflower seeds & raw pepitas sprinkled in.
I raced out of training a little early to run home and change to meet up with a friend for Game 3 of the Bobcats vs Heat! We lost. :(
Yesterday's pose, Day 26 for April Yoga Challenge was Bakasana or Crow Pose. This arm balance seriously freaked me out for the longest time. I'd always leave one foot...well, a toe, really, on the floor in fear of falling and smashing my face.
Today was more yoga training + a client this morning who asked to get a Sunday session in since he will be traveling all week. Naturally, I said yes. :) Then it was my turn...
- Power Walk: 1 mile: Speed: 4.0 / Incline: 5.0 - Flat Bench, BB Bench Press: 30 x 3 - Balancing: Low Pulley, Front Shoulder Raise: 20 x 3 - Air Squats: 25 x 3 - Wide Grip, Lat Pulldowns: 20 x 3 - Power Walk: 1 mile: Speed: 4.0 / Incline: 5.0 ~ A little note about these front shoulder raises....performed them balancing on one leg, on top a BOSU Ball, standing on the black/flat side of the BOSU. Killer balance, core & stability training ~
Meet Ashley. I love love this girl! Truly one of the most beautiful people I've ever met from the inside-out. I think this girl was born to be a yoga teacher. Particularly, a deep stretch yoga teacher. Hence, she is spreading the love and teaching others about this beautiful, restorative yoga practice.
and if you were wondering, what is deep stretch??? voilà More people (myself included) need to get themselves to a Deep Stretch yoga class. The benefits are incredible, both physically & mentally. Not only is Ash a yoga teacher & Thai Massage Therapist but she makes these fabulous eye pillows, too! Filled with ultra calming lavender to help the mind relax at night or anytime, really. I've fallen asleep with mine over my eyes the last 2 nights. She made these for each one of us in the class this weekend - super sweet & thoughtful, no!? You can check out her Etsy Shop here.
Much Love, LS
