Since I’ve been here in Utah, one word keeps coming to mind…Americana. I am having the.best.time here in Park City with my love and I couldn’t think of a better place to be spending this long, holiday weekend. Its pretty awesome being here for the 4th of July, where American culture & patriotism seem to run super strong! The whole town is full of American Pride with our beautiful flag hanging on nearly every home and the whole town is setting up for the 4th of July Parade!
Being here in this beautiful place, conjures up that nostalgic notion of simple, small town living, where your kids are safe, you can leave your doors unlocked and cow’s & horses are grazing in nearly every field you pass…I could be wrong, but I believe anyone can love & can appreciate this sweet & simple vibe, no matter where you come from or how much you love a big city.

nothing says Americana like denim cutoffs + a white tee
the wind was wild & so is my hair
For the last few days, I’ve been riding around location scouting ALL over God’s creation with Adam and I’m not even gonna lie…there’s this part of me deep down inside that loves sitting up high in his rental F-150 (it brings back memories of being a little girl, riding around with my dad in his truck) rather than being in my zippy little Mercedes Benz. There’s so many parts of this environment that make my soul happy…
Wide open spaces, the most gorgeous rolling hills & ranches filled with farm life, the most beautiful barns (I have this weird thing for barns), hiking, biking, whimsical wildflowers and golden hour out here, OMG… its just next level.
The rush of life has a way of making us feel like we always need to do more, achieve more, need more, earn more… but this place has a way of getting rid of that desire, temporarily, and simply enjoy the beautiful, peaceful art of slow living – something I think we all need a little more of in life… to slow down, get back to nature & connect with what really matters in life.
I hope you all are having an amazing holiday weekend! xx
Much Love,
