So after we got in from our Sunday walk, I notice the blender and bag of frozen berries sitting on the counter. This was my cue.. my babe wanted a smoothie! lol
With that being said, sorry for the short & not so pretty presentation but I quickly blended up these smoothies for us before running out the door to meet my family.
Any time I make a not-green smoothie, I actually think I’m having some sort of treat! Especially this smoothie which is heavy on cherries — cherries in a smoothie are ahhh-mazing! I love this Very Berry Blend from Trader Joe’s or just straight up Dark Cherries from Whole Foods. This Banana + Berry Blend + Cacao Nibs combination tastes like a desert, just perfect for a Sunday Smoothie treat but so good for you and full of antioxidants!
Berry Banana & Cacao Nib Smoothie
Smoothie Lovin:
♡ Chia Seeds, 2 tblspns
pre soaked in Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
♡ 2 Bananas
♡ Trader Joe’s Very Berry Blend, 1 Cup
♡ Raw Cacao Nibs, 2 tblspns
♡ Cinnamon & Nutmeg
everything in the blender….
There’s just a splash of almond milk in here, the rest of my base is water. There’s plenty of sweetness and creaminess to this smoothie from the fruit & almond milk/chia seed soaking party…
I first blend all the fruit then add the cacao nibs and give it a couple pulses so the nibs are still nice & crunchy. Yum!
Happy Blending! xx
