Hiya dolls! Hope your Monday was a good one 🙂
After a fun weekend in NYC, today was back to business as usual –work, gym, errands & clean eats. Just the way I like it..
Feeling fruity this morning — big bowl of Organic Gala Apple, Pineapple, Orange + Papaya with Mulberry & Goji Berries.
*LS Tip: Soak Goji Berries in Almond Milk a couple minutes before throwing ’em into the mix to soften them up & bring out their flavor.
Breakfast + a caffeine high made for a kick ass cardio session today.
Cardio
Tackled the Beast (some like to call it the StairMaster) with the help of J. Lots of energy and legs felt good after no workout for 2 days.
25 minutes, 150 floors. Boom.
– Level ranged anywhere from 9-15 today. Worked in 5 – 1 minute Intervals (Level 15) with 30 seconds recovery. Rest of the time was single, side and (two step) two steppin’ it!
Afterwards, over to the treadmill for 15 minutes of 1 min run/1 min walk at 7.0.
Post Workout and in between clients was Brown Rice + Sauerkraut. Trying to work more sauerkraut into my life. I actually love it, I just always forget to eat it. Great way to get in some extra probiotics — good stuff!
Next meal … Spirulina Green Smoothie + Honey Crisp Apple (YUMMS)
Farmer’s Dinner of Chicken, Roasted Potatoes & Carrots – So simple. So good.
Mango, Pineapple & Hibiscus Tea – Sipping on this lovely tea while writing this post… just love loose leaf teas.
I’ve been drinking more tea and less coffee for the last couple of weeks. Still enjoying my 2 (large) cups in the morning but trying to cut out my afternoon coffee fix and stick with Green Tea. This particular tea is decaffeinated and these types of herbal blends are loaded with antioxidants for beautiful, glowing skin from within.
Its fun to play around and create your own “Beauty Tea” mixture at home. I pick up Lavender, Rose, Chamomile, Lemongrass, etc.. from the bulk section at Earth Fare and combine them on my own. Just use sparingly and whatever you do, do not over-steep!! or you’ll be drinking liquid potpourri! (I speak from experience)
Been listening to this utterly depressing, yet beautiful song, pretty much on repeat while writing.. just in that sorta mood I guess. Evidently I’m not alone since the whole world seems to have fallen in love with this track…
A Great Big World – “Say Something”
Time to disconnect and catch some zzz’s. Will be posting about my weekend in NYC throughout the week!
G’night & Much Love,
LS
