When it comes to getting dressed, hands down, my 3 must-have elements to any outfit
= chic. casual. cool.
I am definitely a jeans & t-shirt kinda girl at heart, so adding chic pieces – a fabulous bag or clutch, a great pair of shoes & accessories – for that effortlessly cool look is essential since you don’t really want to walk out the door in just some run-of-the-mill jeans + a t-shirt/tank top, right?
I recently wore a version of this outfit to a friends birthday get together – I wore sandals instead of my mules & tied my bandana a little differently – and got THE sweetest compliment from one of my friends! She complimented my outfit, to which I replied, “its just jeans & a tank” and she said “you look cute in anything”   *blush*

I wear my ripped black skinnies from Madewell at least 2x a week! The rips in the knees = instant cool girl style. I’m always on the search for the perfect white tank/tee and for this season, I’m obsessed with this white muscle tank (currently on sale for $10) from Abercrombie. I have it in the olive green color + a white/blue stripe, too! It fits perfectly and its SO soft – you just want to throw is on all.the.time.
I just picked up these slip-on mules from Sam Edelman a few weeks ago and I kind of only want to wear these, at the moment! They come in 10 other options – ten! – fun florals, leather, and suede! This is the perfect casual chic shoe to wear all summer long. I’ve been wearing mine with jeans, shorts & dresses.

A bandana is the quintessential accessory. Tie one around your neck, wrist or handbag to give a simple outfit that extra little je ne sais quoi. I’ve been obsessed with bandana’s since last summer and have a fun little collection going on! Madewell is one of my go-to’s for cute bandanas and this black one that I’m wearing is one of my favorites!
