Hello Loves! Hope everyone had a great Monday. Just a quick post to share more of my photos to go along with my Chicago Weekend Blog. I took so many pics and didn’t get a chance to put them all up with my post last night because it just got too late and I was ready to pass out! Some more pics from in and around our hotel, Park Hyatt…
Another shot from the lovely Park Hyatt lobby. That dress is made completely of paper – so neat!
View from the balcony in our room – Chicago Water Tower. Looks like a castle. The water tower is one of the few buildings that survived the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. Absolutely amazing.
Daytime shot of the Chicago Water Tower. Such a pretty building! Loved all the trees and flowers surrounding the building. The city of Chicago does such an amazing job planting flowers ALL over the city….hanging baskets, planters, bushes and some of the prettiest tree lines streets I’ve ever seen – gave it so much charm & character.
One of the many pretty tree lines street & hanging baskets.
Loved these cabbage leaves and fall mums!
Super cool chalkboard wall at Peeled Juice Bar.
Saturday Night, Dinner at The Gage
Apps for the table… Probably some of the best food I’ve ever had. Front and center Antelope Tartare (white plate), Roasted Bone Marrow and Escargot. Antelope Tartare came with a little baby quail egg on top. They present it all pretty at the table and then our server came over to mix it all up. Melt in your mouth good. The bone marrow was to die for! Pure fat and SO good. Served with Candied Bacon Jam, Confit Beef Tongue and some mixed greens. Escargot was good but I’ve had better….I think they tried to get a little too creative with this dish.
Close up of the escargot – cool presentation. Beet Salad, mmm! If there’s beet salad on the menu, chances are high I’ll be ordering it.
haha We all had a good laugh when our server brought out this monster bowl of French Fries! I ordered a SIDE of fries and this is what I got. And a side of the tastiest brussels sprouts, served with melted brie cheese & smoked pork belly.
For dessert, we all shared this Sweet Potato Brûlée. Fantastic! Sooo, needless to say….I indulged over the weekend! YOLO
That’s a wrap on my awesome weekend in Chicago! Catch you later. xx
