Happy Monday & Happy December, loves. How was your weekend!? I sat in a real estate class all day, 830am-5pm both Saturday & Sunday. While I didn’t love sitting on my butt all weekend, I do love learning more and more about the real estate business. Adam spent the weekend in Raleigh for a long overdue visit with his family and after my class on Saturday evening, I headed straight to my parents house for a holiday dinner. My mom made the most delicious Italian feast – rice balls, lasagna, tiramisu & hazelnut biscotti – can we say YUM!? When I walked thru the door to my parents house, I saw the tree and the whole house decorated for Christmas and I instantly felt so much happiness come over me. I just love Christmastime. I also squeezed my parents extra tight, feeling especially thankful for the super close & fun relationship I have with them and just how lucky I am to have them in my life. On Friday morning, I learned that my Opa {grandfather in Austria} had peacefully passed away in his sleep. He lived a long, wonderful life – he was 91 years old – and we have been anticipating his passing however, it’s never easy to get the call that you’ve lost a loved one. I spent most of the day crying on and off, and while I still feel so sad that he is gone, I also know that he is in a better place as his health has been dwindling more & more over the last several months. I am so grateful for the amazing trip me, my dad & my sister took to Austria in April and for the precious time we had with him. Tomorrow is never promised, be sure to let your loved ones know just how much you care for and love them.

My Sam Edelman black booties are from last season. I am still loving them but definitely in need of a fresh pair!
