Last Friday night, my babe and I had friends over for a super fun, low-key Date Night In. Staying in, cooking, music, beautiful friends, sipping on interesting wines, homemade blueberry cobbler, laughing & talking all in the comforts of your kitchen just has that special charm to it that you don’t often feel sitting in a restaurant. We go out to eat so often, it was such a nice change to stay in especially with the company of good friends!
So our fun triple date night in brought together 3 couples. Adam & I, obviously! One of my boyfriends best friends, Scott, who just so happens to be dating one of my yoga instructors, Johnna. I completely love & adore, Johnna and unfortunately, don’t get to hang out with her often enough. She was literally born to be a yogi & one of the most beautiful people I know + one of my absolute best girlfriends, Rene & her fiancé!
I have to admit the girls pretty much did nothing but show up & get totally spoiled by the boys. Our delicious meal was prepared mainly by Scott & my babe. The two of them are quite the little chefs, and love to play in the kitchen!
Scott came prepared bringing his own spices & a couple things that he had already put together for this amaze balls eggplant soup/stew that he made! We had some seriously amazing, incredibly fresh Halibut filets, that my boyfriend picked up from Clean Catch along with these rad Halibut Cheeks that were actually caught in Alaska while Scott was filming a TV show he was working on last month. He’s kept them frozen at home and brought them over for our dinner.
For dessert, my amazing boyfriend made us a simply delicious Blueberry Cobbler from a recipe out of Garden & Gun Magazine. It couldn’t have been easier to make & turned out so good. We topped it off with what else, but organic Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. #YUMS
