Hello loves!! Yikes, I cannot believe the last time I posted was September 18! I have been one busy bee over here and unfortunately, work hasn’t left much time for blogging. I have 3 drafts for various posts in the queue but wanted to share this outfit with you guys before the weather changes & its too late to wear & recreate!
Its just now starting to actually feel like fall here in Charlotte, but with that being said… we are definitely still in that transitional time of year where its chilly in the morning, hot during the day and chilly again in the evening which means…layers!
I don’t know why, but I’ve always loved the feeling of long sleeves + shorts and right now is the perfect time of year for this cute & cozy combo! Make your long sleeve stripes and your outfit becomes très chic in an instant!
You guys know I am all about the basics and making the most of what you have in your closet which is why I wanted to show you how to style this striped long sleeve 2 different ways! My stripe top is BP. from Nordstrom and from last year but, its safe to say that a good stripe shirt will never go out of style. There are a few that I’m loving right now and linked below 🙂
I wore this cute stripe long sleeve + shorts combo to dinner one night while visiting Adam in New Orleans a couple weeks ago. We ate at THEE cutest, most delicious spot called 1000 Figs – super simple spot serving seriously yummy Mediterranean food! I cannot wait to go back! I was a little toasty in long sleeves at first, but once the sun went down + inside the restaurant, I couldn’t have felt more comfortable. I really love the pop of color from my Madewell Bandana which gives this outfit a bit of a French feel – Oh là là. My slip on mules from Sam Edelman are finally on sale — Currently marked down to $90 from $130!! (Hello!) These are definitely one of my favorites to slip on and go – they are so cute, comfortable & effortlessly chic.
Who else is loving booties + shorts!? I think this is such a fun & cool combo for fall! I got so so so lucky with this leather jacket, you guys! I popped into Lucky Brand before heading to NYFW and saw this Moto jacket in the sale section + an additional 60% OFF. Eek! I have been searching for thee perfect leather jacket (for me) and I can’t believe I found this one and for such a steal!
We shot this outfit outside French Truck Coffee. How cute is this little, old-timey truck!?
New Orleans has so many amazing places to eat and just a cool place all around. By the end of this TV show I’ll definitely be sharing a travel/restaurant guide of all the places Adam & I go to over the next several months!

Thanks so much for stopping in! Happy Friday & hope you all have the best weekend! xx
