If you follow my blog regularly you know that I love spicy foods and cayenne pepper is one of my favorite ways to spice things up! I sprinkle a little in my soups, foods, smoothies and occasionally simply drink water w/ lemon & cayenne if I’m feeling like I could use a little detoxing action. There are so many benefits to adding this spice to your diet… The obvious here in this smoothie — boost your metabolism and turn you into a fat burning machine. Especially, when combined with lemon juice. Drink this before a workout and you’ll feel an abundance of energy (and sweat) — you’ll be glowing from the inside out! Health benefits are endless…I don’t know where to begin! Boost your immune system and help to clear congestion/mucus & a sore throat. Powerful anti-inflammatory to help with aches & pains – even headaches. Works to lower high blood pressure & cholesterol, cancer fighter, increase circulation, helps with digestions and oddly enough, this spicy herb can help soothe an upset stomach.

Fat Burner Green Smoothie Recipe
– 2 handfuls organic spinach
– 1 super ripe banana
– 1/2 cup, organic mango chunks
– 1/2 lemon, juiced
– cayenne pepper (add a little or a lot if your feelin’ extra spicy!) 😉
– Water & Ice
Blend, drink it down & feel the heat!!
