Happy Birthday, Dad!

Celebrating this stud today…

So grateful to have such a strong, healthy, wonderful father figure in my life. I owe my love of healthy living & fitness to this guy — who instilled in me, at a very young age, the importance of taking care of yourself, eating well, being active & staying fit.

Our recent trip to Austria created memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life — father/daughter walks & hikes, lunches, dinners and drinking way too much wine together until the wee hours of the night!! haha A very proud & humble brag, that at 63 years old this guy can keep up with me, hiking in the Alps for hours, works out several days a week and lives & loves life — all heart! Something I never (ever) like to think about, but you never know how long you’ll have your parents, so love them & cherish every moment, and every day that you have with them!

Birthday dinner was crab cakes (2 for me) 1 + filet for my parents  + braised fennel & baked yukon gold potato… this is the first not crazy clean meal I’ve had since I’ve started my Winter Detox. I’m currently on the fence about going Veggie for an entire month but not making any proclamations because I’m feeling slightly fatigued & not I’m not recovering from my workouts as quickly without meat in my diet. So….we shall see. Other than that, feeling really amazing!

to quote my mom…
what else do you make an Austrian man for dessert on his birthday?
Apfelstrudel, natürlich! 🙂

Much love,
