During our weeklong jaunt in Mallorca, the first hotel Adam & I stayed at was Hotel Predi Son Jaumell. Predi Son Jaumell is a rural hotel situated on the eastern side of the island, located in the town of Capdepera. Son Jaumell is set on a traditional Majorcan possessió (country estate) dating back to the 17th century. The hour+ drive to the hotel led us thru a whole lot of ruralness, roundabouts & countless windmills scattered all over the incredibly dry, rugged land.
Once we arrived, we followed the short walkway leading us up to the main house to get checked in. We were welcomed with a smile, a prompt check-in & glass of champagne. And so our Mallorcan holiday officially began! haha
Just across the way from the main house, we were taken but a few steps to our Grand Suite, #15. Double doors opened up to reveal our beautiful suite. The suite was more than enough for the two of us! Off to the right was our bedroom with a king bed, sitting room, TV, the most adorable mini window to the outside + a set of double doors that led us to our private patio. Our bathroom was straight ahead which had separate WC & Shower, jacuzzi tub + his/hers sinks. Lovely bath towels & Aveda products were provided. To the other side was a sitting room which had another set of double doors, coffee table, desk, Nespresso coffee maker.
rooftop / sun terrace & view belonging to our suite!
Son Jaumell is beyond laid back & luxuriously low-key. Spend the day swimming or lounging poolside, soaking up the Mallorcan sun and/or enjoy a long, leisurely lunch under the magical pergola at Senzill, Son Jaumell’s alternative restaurant, where you can grab a casual lunch or dinner, a la carte. If your in the mood to move your bones, you can hop on one of the hotels complimentary bikes, hike or walk along one of the Nordic Walking Trails which leads you to nearby Cala Agulla Cove.
so.in.love with these gorgeous grapes on the vine. There was a Vineyard + Olive Farm on the hotel property
can I have these bauble-like lights in my house, please!? 🙂
I completely fell in love with the rustic modern design of Predi Son Jaumell. The decor & small touches – books, eclectic couches & chairs, table settings, unique light fixtures + indigenous knick knacks – scattered through the hotel created an upscale casual vibe, with a coziness of being in someones home. I absolutely loved how either that indescribable indoor/outdoor feeling or natural light was a part of every area in the hotel.
As if I didn’t love this place enough already, it had to go and look all gorgeous & luminescent underneath the evening light.
we had dinner outside at Senzill on our first night at Son Jaumell. The food was delicious & the service was wonderful, albeit the very opposite of hurried. Don’t expect a quick meal around here, and I’m not complaining in saying that. Keep in mind this is Europe and by the way, your on vacation. 😉
Hope you enjoyed this post & photos. Perhaps you’ll consider staying at Predi Son Jaumell if you find Mallorca in your travels. Adam & I truly loved the place. xx
