Yoga Fashion
Quick post on my laid back weekend style and new skin care & make up purchase.
Saturday morning started off with a 90 minute Hot Yoga practice. Best way to start ANY day, no doubt! I threw together this comfy little yoga get up to head to class. I love to mix & match colors and prints that compliment each other. I layered up just a bit because the morning started of somewhat chilly but still warm enough to run out the door in Flip Flops. I prettymuch live my life in yoga and workout clothes so I like to have fun with and it and look cute!
So now back to yoga….Class was amaZing – led by Rian Harris at Yoga One. This was my first time practicing at Yoga One and I just can’t believe that I haven’t gotten over there sooner. I think its safe to say that most of us tend to be creatures of habit and this could not be more true when speaking of myself. I’m 100% guilty of always taking class from the same handful of my favorite instructors at my 2 favorite studios – Enlighten Yoga & Y2. (my home studio) Taking class at Yoga One this weekend was such a wonderful & much needed reminder that change is GOOD. I walked out of class with a light and happy heart.
Showered off all the sweat after class and grabbed some grub at Whole Foods with a friend. This is pretty standard on Saturday…yoga, Whole Foods, mall….you see what I mean…creature of habit! So much so that one of the Whole Foods employees came up to me, asked how I was doing and then proceeded to say “You come here every Saturday”. haha Why mess with a good thing, right!?
Next stop? Over to the mall to buy some new skin care & make up. I just ran out of my eye cream, moisturizer and bronzer all at once. These are 3 Must Haves!
Skin Care Tips
Moisturizer:
Throughout the summer, I’ve been using a lighter formula by Sothy’s – a French Skin Care Line that offers a wide range of products. I’ve used this line on and off for the last couple years and am always more than happy with it. I switch back and forth between Sothy’s Beauty Garden or their Immuniscience Cream. As much as I LOVE Sothy’s, moving into the f/w season, I’ve made the switch back to my other skincare favorite – Dr. Hauschka. My skin tends to be a bit on the drier side so I need a heavier moisturizer as the weather turns colder. I use the Quince Day Cream because its heavy enough to leave my skin feeling super hydrated but not greasy. It says Day Cream but it can totally double as your night cream, as well!
Chanel Healthy Glow Bronzer
Eye Cream & Bronzer:
I JUST started using eye cream for the first time in my life just a few months ago. I’ve used samples here and there and always thought it was great but never went out and invested in one. Nearing 30 years old, I figured it was about time I bring this little skin care gem into my daily routine. Both my eye cream & bronzer are from Chanel. It is definitely on the pricier side, but its a very well made product and in my opinion, 100% worth the money. My philosophy is, you only get one face so you better take care of it! I use the the eye cream both day & night – under the eye and on top, on my brow bone. This is my second jar of the eye cream. Using it sparingly, it lasted me a good 3-4 months. I just used my bronzer for the first time last night and love love love it! Gave me a perfect, even, healthy glow!
Laid Back Style
Todds Orange Slippers, Celine Handbag
I spent the rest of my Saturday working on some recipes for my smoothies, took a nice, long walk before it was time to shower up and meet up with friends for dinner and a movie. Casual, low key dinner at Wolfgang Puck in Phillips Place and then we saw Don Jon with Adam Gordon Levitt & Scarlett Johansson. Good movie, but NOT what I was expecting! You’ll have to see it yourself to know what I mean. Showing off my Orange Loafers.. More color! Orange is one of the Fall It Colours. How do you like to add little pops of color to your outfit?!
