loving the chic & cozy look of cutoff’s + a cozy cardigan as we approach the fall season…
Happy Sunday, loves. Hope your having a great weekend! We are having a very slow start to our Sunday…Adam and I had another couple over last night and I made my mom’s sauce and meatball’s for the first time ever. Adam has been talking about making meatballs and sauce for the last couple weeks so I decided it was time to finally make my mom’s sauce for him! {lol} It’s kind of crazy that its taken me so long to make our family sauce considering how much Adam and I love to cook. It turned out so delicious and I can’t wait to make it again and continue to improve it just like my mom has throughout the years. We had a super fun night full of good conversation while filling our bellies with spaghetti, meatballs and good wine 🍝🍷 Any favorite family recipes you love to cook!?
Can you guys believe we are approaching the end of August!? I am craving fall more than ever {pretty sure I say this every year} but seriously, I can’t wait for all the fall feels to arrive here in Charlotte. The heat {and humidity} have been so…ugh, this summer and I can’t wait til we can walk outside without melting.
While I’m over here dreaming of fall, the reality of the situation is that it’s definitely still 90° outside! {haha} With that being said, I’m finding ways to pull in a little bit of fall into my outfits with certain colors like this super soft & cute mustard v-neck tee {one of my favorite fall colors} and this chic & cozy cardigan that I snagged during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale – this is one of my favorite purchases from this years sale. It is now back to its original price, but totally worth buying even at full price. This will be one of my staples on rotation throughout the entire fall/winter season. It also comes in 4 other colors – black & burgundy + mint & coral. I have my eye on the Burgundy one, too. 🙈
I have really been loving the chic & cozy look of denim cutoff’s + cardigans while its still hot out. Its such a cute & fun way to incorporate a little bit of fall as the weather slowly starts to cool off. For now, I’m still slipping on sandals but this exact outfit would look super cute with ankle booties, too! My shorts are super old, so I’ve linked a couple pairs I’m loving for you guys above.
I am swooning over these totally splurge worthy sweaters here & here.
How are you working fall into your wardrobe while its still hot out!? Let me know in the comments below.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend. xx
