Ahhh…The Shard. Truly a modern architectural marvel. We opted to take in The View from The Shard vs. The London Eye once I learned that its views are THE highest & best in all of London. Two viewing platforms between floors 68-72 — 68 is completely enclosed (and warm), while 72 is an open-air viewing deck. Both platforms offer AMAZING 360 views of all of London’s most famous landmarks — St. Paul’s Cathedral, The London Eye, The Tower Bridge…you name it, you can see it! This was the day that we decided to be big time tourists and do the Original Hop-On Hop-Off Sightseeing Tour — in my opinion, a must do while visiting London (especially if it’s your first time) and such an easy, efficient way to take in the sights! As the name implies, you literally Hop-On & Hop-Off at various stops around the city. Stay as long as you like, soak it all in and when your done, go stand at the bus stop and wait till your next bus comes along to scoop you up and plop you down at the next sight you’d like to see. Voilà. We got really lucky with the weather on this day, it only rained for a bit earlier in the afternoon and the skies cleared just in time for us to take in these incredible views of the London skyline. Hope you enjoy my photos from the top of The Shard!! xx
