Hi friends! Happy Monday + Happy May. I hope your month is off to a good start and everyone had a beautiful Mother’s Day weekend! I am way behind in getting my April Monthly Favorites post published. May has gotten off to a pretty hectic start — I’ve sat down to write this post so many times and I just couldn’t get it out until now.
So, that being said… let’s jump right into it, shall we!? April was filled with lots of music, a few new favorite purchases, lots of work, really good workouts and a whole lotta fun with friends. With the exception of a few much needed rainy days, (omg, the pollen!) we are having the most gorgeous spring season — I wish this weather would stay forever. I hope everyone is soaking up this beautiful time of year. xx
READING.
MINIMAL.
I had this book on pre-order and it arrived early April. I absolutely love all the tips, tricks & advice for living a more minimalistic & sustainable life. There are some really good tips in this book that you can easily put into practice in your home & daily life straight away.
*also linking favorites books from previous months that I open & read on daily/weekly basis below…
WATCHING.
SHITT’S CREEK. I wrapped up all 80 episodes of Shitt’s Creek at the beginning of the month and I might turn into one of those people who rewatches the series! lol I have a girlfriend who is watching it for the third time. She said it just keeps getting better & better + you pick up on more of the lines & jokes as you rewatch.
YES DAY. My sister watched this adorable movie with Jennifer Gardner and it was just such a cute & funny, feel good movie.
LISTENING.
April was a big music month! I added so many new tunes that I’ve been listening to on repeat + rediscovered some old favorites. I hope you guys enjoy! Also dropping my Workout Playlist for you guys below..I’ve added a bunch of new songs to this list.
– Ocie Elliott: added my two favorites from this new-to-me artist. I pretty much love the entire album, with the exception of maybe a song or two — just good, chill, folky music to have playing in the background while your working, cooking or hanging.
– Simply The Best, Stephanie Rainey: love love love this slowed down version — so pretty. Got back into this song because of Shitt’s Creek. IYKYK.
– Our House, Ed Patrick: I grew up listening to this song by Crosby, Stills & Nash and recently found this super dreamy rendition.
WEARING.
JENNY BIRD ‘BIGGIE CHAIN’ NECKLACE. I love love love this chain! I just so happened to catch it on a major 1 hour flash sale for Jenny Birds birthday. I have been wearing this necklace non-stop, layered with my other favorites that I never take off.
MADEWELL MUSCLE TANK. I actually picked this up at Nordstrom Rack while making a return. It was maybe $2 cheaper than in Madewell. Just a really good basic. I also snagged an amazing pair of Citizens of Humanity denim on super sale. I searched online to find the same pair but couldn’t find them anywhere. If your in need of new denim and don’t want to spend a ton, Nordstrom Rack is a GREAT place to get designed denim at an amazing price.
REBECCA MINKOFF KITTEN HEEL MULES. This was another Nordstrom Rack find that I ordered online, but they are sadly no longer available. I found them on Saks but they are currently only available for pre-order…? I LOVE these mules. Such a simple & chic way to elevate an outfit.
USING
HAIR, BEAUTY + SKIN CARE
APRIL EMPTY – ALPYN BEAUTY MELT MOISTURIZER. Used up the rest of my Melt Moisturizer. This has been an absolute favorite of mine for the last 2 years. I decided to switch things up for the new season and switched over to Summer Friday’s Cloud Dew Moisturizer.
ORGAID SKINCARE. I am so excited to be an Orgaid Ambassador. I fell in love with this beautiful skincare brand about 2 years ago and I was recently invited to join their Ambassador Program to which I happily accepted!
Two of my favorite products: Orgaid Organic Face Oil + any of their amazing sheet masks.

HAIR BOTOX. Still loving my hair botox. I’m about 2.5 months in and the results are still going strong. In case you missed it, you can check out my full post on Hair Botox, here.
I am SO into facial massage these days. I have done some type of massage on my face for as long as I can remember but it has really become a thing on IG these days. I’ve learned so many techniques & “moves”, if you will, from various accounts. I’ve been doing a full on face massage at least 3x a week in the mornings. If facial massage is brand new to you and you have no idea where to start, check out these two accounts — I absolutely love them!
