Hi friends. Happy July! I hope everyone is having a great summer so far! Can someone tell me how is it July, already!? Dear Summer, slow down, please.
I completely missed May Monthly Favorites. The last 6+ weeks have been all over the place and summer is truly flying by. I somehow got covid towards the middle/end of May. I was so sick {like a really bad + long flu} and I feel like I missed nearly a month of my life between being sick + recovering and slowly getting back to feeling like myself. My parents moved and they have been going back & forth between my place and my sisters until their new home is ready. On top of all that, work + life in general…so here I am catching up and rounding up my May + June favorites all in one post! I hope you enjoy and, as always, thanks so much for reading! xx
READING
THINK AND GROW RICH.
I’ve restarted this old classic by Napoleon Hill. I try to read for at least 15 minutes every morning and this is such a great read to start your day with — the book is all about a positive mindset, having faith in the goals you want to achieve + success stories to inspire you to go after your dreams. Highly recommend if you don’t already own a copy. I purchased the newest version.
WATCHING.
MDLNY + RYAN’S RENOVATION. The newest season of Million Dollar Listing New York started back up a few weeks ago along with a quick 4 episode season documenting Ryan’s Renovation of their AMAZING Brooklyn brownstone. {insert ALL the heart eyes} As a realtor, I am obsessed with the MDLNY show — I love the brokers and the NYC real estate is incredible.
Since my parents have been staying with me on and off over the last several weeks, I’ve been watching all kinds of movies with my dad at night. I’ve been giving him control over the remote and he’s found some great movies on Netflix + a really cool series. I’m all about some action movies and have loved everything we’ve watched below…
LUPIN. Lupin is a French heist series set in Paris. I actually watched the last 4 episodes of the second season with my dad and then went back and binge watched the whole show. {lol}
ICE ROAD. We just watched this last week on Netflix. I LOVE Liam Neeson — he’s such a good actor & one of my favorites. I definitely Googled “are ice roads real” after watching. {haha} So much action and drama and I loved every minute of it.
GOTTI. I loved this movie about the Gambino crime family starring John Travolta — he played the part of John Gotti SO well! They used a lot of really cool archival footage and the whole story is just fascinating.
FROM PARIS WITH LOVE. another good action film starring John Travolta.
LISTENING.
Totally loving ‘Hoops’ from Julia Wolf. Adore the rendition of Harvest Moon from SYML + lots of other good songs I’ve been listening to on repeat.
WEARING.
I really haven’t been shopping very much at all and I’ve only purchased a few new things for the season so far… Ever since I moved in November, I’ve been spending more on furnishing my apartment rather than buying more clothes.
Sharing what I’ve bought in the last couple months below + a few sandals that are on sale that I think are super cute and might be adding to cart! {lol}
USING.
HAIR, BEAUTY + SKIN CARE.
MAY/JUNE EMPTIES – Summer Fridays CC Me Serum + Pai Skincare Chamomile & Rosehip Soothing Moisturizer
I absolutely LOVE the Summer Fridays CC Me Serum. If you’re looking for a Vitamin C serum, I can’t recommend this one enough. This was the first product I tried from Pai Skincare, it was super hydrating and I really loved it. Will definitely use again.
I was gifted a few Vapour Beauty products from Aillea and they are so, so pretty…
VAPOUR BRONZING POWDER – this bronzing powder is so gorgeous and has the perfect amount of shimmer for summer. I’ve been using it on my cheekbones & nose for a little bit of contouring and a little extra glow.
VAPOUR ESSENTIAL DAILY PRIMER – I have never used a primer before and if I’m being completely honest, I really don’t know what it’s for {lol} but I’ve used it a couple times if I do a full face of makeup and I feel like it makes my skin look extra dewy and my makeup just looks awesome!
APOUR AURA MULTI STICK – loving this multi purpose stick! I mainly use it on my cheeks before applying my powder bronzer but, I’ve used it on my lips, too, and it looks great. I have the Intrigue color.
