Hello loves! Happy Friday & Happy November! Can you believe we have less than 2 months left in 2021!? I truly cannot believe how quickly this year has passed. September & October felt like two of the quickest months, which makes me sad, because this is truly my favorite time of year. The weather is so incredible during these months, all I want to do is be outside all day. Both September & October were super busy with real estate, I’m still loving tennis so much and I spent tons of time with family & friends celebrating my birthday in October. I kinda celebrate for the entire month. haha Lots of yummy dinners out to celebrate + my sister got us tickets to see Wicked! It was my first time seeing the show and I absolutely loved it! I also had dinner with some of my favorite blogger girls. It was the first time we’ve all seen each other in a year+, needless to say, it was so good to see their faces and catch up! I’m getting ready to head to Palm Spring, CA in a couple weeks for a girlfriends Bachelorette trip and by the time I get home, it will be Thanksgiving, just a few days later! I am so ready for the Holiday Season! How about you?
I hope everyone has been soaking up this beautiful fall season and you enjoy the post!
As always, thanks for reading. xx
WATCHING.
MILLION DOLLAR LISTING LA. I’m officially a fan of the LA season of MDL. As I shared in my previous post, I’ve always only been into MDLNY, but I started watching the LA show this season and I love it.
TO THE BONE. I came across this movie on Netflix with Lily Collins and Keanu Reeves. The movie brings attention to anorexia and eating disorders in general. After watching the movie, I read about the story behind the film and learned that both Lily Collins and the writer/director have both struggled with disordered eating in their past. It’s sad and heartbreaking to watch, while also being uplifting at the same time. I became such a fan of Lily after watching Emily in Paris {still patiently waiting Season 2!} and I really enjoyed her performance in this movie.
INTO THE BEAT. I absolutely loved this German dance film on Netflix. A ballerina goes against following in the footsteps of her family and falls in love with hip-hop dancing. The last scene where they audition is so good!
THE STARLING. I scrolled passed this movie SO many times and finally watched at the end of October. Sad, sweet, relatable, funny. I so loved Melissa McCarthy in this film. Also, Chris O’Dowd {loved him in Bridesmaids!} and Kevin Kline were so great, too.
HOCUS POCUS. I definitely watch this every October! lol
THE HOLIDAY. One of my all time favorite films! I watched this last week and I know I’ll watch it several more times as we head into the holiday season. It just never gets old. lol
LISTENING.
Always a mix of old & new, sharing what I’ve been listening to over the last couple months.
WEARING.
I was gifted these Triarchy Skinny Jeans and I absolutely love everything about them! The color, {I got the ‘Light Indigo’ Wash} the fit & feel, the pocket placement on the tush, they have the perfect amount of stretch and best of all, they are 100% plastic free! Triarchy jeans are made with organic cotton & natural rubber sustainably harvested from the rubber tree. *linking the darker wash, currently on sale on Revolve, below. These jeans run TTS, I’m wearing a 26.
I was in need of a new, good quality white tee. I picked up this Good American V-neck a few weeks ago at Nordstrom and I’ve definitely worn it several times since purchasing. Good American sizes their tops by 1,2,3 – I wear a Size 1. I love the deep v-neck. Looks so cute with layered necklaces, jeans & booties.
It’s officially bootie season! I’ve been wearing a couple of my current favorite pairs of Marc Fisher Booties {there’s a bunch of great pairs on sale right now, btw} on repeat + I’ve broken out my combat boots from Aquatalia – heading into my third season with these boots and still loving them just as much as when I bought them. I linked a few cute & affordable combat boot options below.
Also, black denim. Have broken out my Madewell Black Skinny Jeans a lot more recently as the weather has cooled off. Love wearing them with neutral booties, combat boots and leather sneakers.
I found the cutest cropped cardigan from ASTR at Nordstrom Rack about a month ago. {wore it to my best friends’ gender reveal, pictured above} I found a super similar one online, it just doesn’t have the cute embroidered flowers.
USING.
HAIR, SKIN, BEAUTY & SUPPLEMENTS.
MOISTURIZER.
I keep bouncing back & forth between my two favorite moisturizers — Alpyn Beauty’s Melt Moisturizer & Cloud Dew Moisturizer from Summer Fridays. I used up all of my Melt Moisturizer and now I’m back to the Cloud Dew. I try to catch one or the other on sale and will even by two at a time.
SERUMS.
Now that summer is over, I am back to using Summer Friday’s CC Me Serum. I have been a long time fan of Vitamin C Serums and this one has been a favorite for a couple years now. I can always tell a difference in my skin within just a few days of using it — brighter, more even complexion and just more glow-y!
Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm — I love this stuff! And I love their new packaging even more. Smells great, feels great and not too sticky.
HERBAL FACE FOOD. I connected with this company and have been using two of their amazing serums – Serum I and The Cure for a couple months. These serums are incredibly potent and loaded with powerful plants & botanicals. The Cure is a spot treatment – I use a tiny drop on a couple areas for hyperpigmentation + a sun spot I have on the right side of my face. Serum I, I use all over my face. My skin is so bright and I can absolutely tell a difference since using these two products! love, love, love them.
VITAL PROTEINS COLLAGEN PEPTIDES. I have been using these for the past couple months and can tell a difference in both my skin & hair. I add two scoops to my second cup of coffee every morning.
I was gifted two super food / probiotic powders from Biohm Health a few months back and I have been really loving them – I add the Probiotic Supplement with Super Greens and the Super Reds with Probiotics to my mixed berry smoothie and I just love knowing that I am getting so many nutrients for my body + probiotics for my gut health which each scoop.
AROUND THE HOUSE….
My sister got me the best gift for my birthday… the whole Caraway Cookware Set! You know your getting old when you get excited about pots & pans! haha I absolutely love this non-toxic & non-stick cookware set. My sister got me the sage green set and the color is so pretty.
My mom got me my favorite candle from Anthropologie as one of my birthday gifts – the Vulospa Baltic Amber candle – I have loved the smell of this candle for years and the jar is so pretty, too. The red one smells amazing as well!
