Hello Loves! Sharing some fun snaps from my recent girls trip to Nantucket to celebrate one of my absolute best girlfriends’ 40th birthday! It was my first time on Nantucket Island, or to New England, actually, and, it was just as lovely & charming as I had imagined!
We flew from Charlotte to Boston and then hopped up to Nantucket on that teeny, tiny, 10 seater prop plane you see behind us! Wee!! Luckily, none of us have a fear of flying and/or small planes so it wasn’t an issue. Once we got up to altitude, which I’m guessing was nothing more than 10k ft. it was actually a pretty smooth ride and a killer view. It was basically like taking an arial tour from Boston, passing by Martha’s Vineyard and up to Nantucket.
a huge thanks to the dude who snapped this totally crooked picture & nearly cut off the whole point of the photo ….the Nantucket sign! LOL Gotta love people who can’t take a photo to save their life, right!? #BloggerProblems
The entrance to our suite at The White Elephant was so pretty surrounded by all the Hibiscus. Side Note: I’m going to do a separate Nantucket Travel Guide post and include all the photos of the hotel we stayed at.
after we got all checked in & changed into more comfortable, walking clothes/shoes, we headed into town, grabbed a cocktail down by the wharf and just enjoyed the day until….it was nap time! LOL we were up at 530am for an early flight and we all knew we wouldn’t make it thru the night if we didn’t nap. An afternoon nap is such a little luxury that none of us ever do!
watermelon margaritas went down a little too easily!
Brant Point Grill is actually a part of our hotel, The White Elephant, and one of the best restaurants on the island. We had dinner here on our first night + enjoyed their amazing brunch on Sunday.
How darling is this fresh flower stand!? And the hydrangeas! The entire island was full of THE most gorgeous hydrangeas – in the prettiest shades of pinks, blues, and my favorite…white.
Check this place out, you guys! The Juice Bar. Not exactly known for healthy juices, although they do serve fresh juices & smoothies, this place is famous for their amazing homemade ice cream! The line wraps around the building & down the block several times a day. Its crazy…
#guilty (!!!) haha
I could not resist! First ice cream cone in I couldn’t even tell you how long.
I went for a double scoop of two of my favorite flavors – pistachio and coconut.

the wind, humidity & salt air made for some wild hair days. I wore my hair in a fishtail braid, curly & on top of my head for basically the whole trip. There really was no point in trying to do your hair because the moment you stepped outside it would be ruined!
Provisions is the cutest little sandwich shop where you can pop in to grab yummy sandwiches, salads, cookies, sparkling waters and all kinds of yummy…provisions! 😉 we stopped in one afternoon to grab lunch to bring down to the beach with us.
loved this awesome wall outside the Ralph Lauren store!

such a fun night @ The Back Bar at Cru
The Boston Pops took place on the Saturday that we were there! We went to one of the local markets to grab a bunch of goodies – grapes, berries, cheese, wine, hummus, chips – packed a cooler and headed down to the water. It was such a neat event to experience and the night couldn’t have been more gorgeous! We got down to the beach & settled into our spots just before sunset.
Dinner on our last night @ Dune was so good and probably the best meal of the trip!
Nantucket was such a perfect place for a girls getaway – I cannot recommend it enough! As I mentioned at the top of this post, it was everything I had imagined it would be! The entire island is just darling, and I wanted to photograph everything & every street! The island was crawling with people and it was so hard to get good photos – I tried my best! Everywhere you look, you’ll find the classic, unpainted cedar-shingled buildings that Nantucket is known for, cobblestone streets, flourishing flowers, fantastic restaurants, boutiques and beaches. We walked EVERYWHERE and totally soaked up the island.
Thanks so much for stopping in! I’ll be sharing more photos of where we stayed and my Nantucket Travel Guide if you happen to find yourself on holiday in this beautiful place.
I always say girl time is good for the soul, and, an entire girls trip is even better! If you can, make time for one at least once a year – its so worth it! As we get older and life gets busier, its harder to see girlfriends on a weekly, or even monthly basis. This trip was so.much.fun, memories were made & friendships grew stronger.
Much Love,
