Hi loves, Happy Thursday. Hope you’re having a great week!
I for one, can’t wait until this week passes. I somehow came home from New York with a scratched cornea that got infected and turned into an ulcer. After returning home from NYC on Sunday evening with an incredibly irritated & scratchy left eye, I got into see my eye doctor ASAP on Monday afternoon — that’s when I found out I have a corneal ulcer. #scary
I have the worst eyes as it is {so blind, I’ve been in glasses/contact lenses since 9 years old} so this was pretty scary news to me, {an ulcer can leave a scar in your eye and effect your vision} but luckily I caught it so quickly and have been using drops + an antibiotic ointment in my left eye right before bed every night this week. I’ve been wearing glasses and not allowed to wear my contacts for a full week while my eye heals. Moving forward, I’ll be switching my contact use to dailies, and will try to be better about giving my eyes a rest, wearing glasses more often. If the eye thing wasn’t bad enough, I got my period and then my back decided it wanted to *try* and go out on me. I’ve been doing a lot of stretching and foam rolling trying to relax & loosen up my muscles to help my back release.
But for real, what did I do!? {lol} Talk about coming home from an amazing weekend in NYC to have {what feels like} everything go wrong! Geez.
Anyhow, enough complaining…. 😝
I wanted to share this cute & casual look I wore in NYC on Friday. Adam and I started the day with a long, al fresco lunch at High Street on Hudson {so good & highly recommend} in Meatpacking District. Bellies full + a couple mimosas later, we headed down to Hudson River Park. I just love all the green space the city has created down by the water — so beautiful & refreshing! If I lived in the city, you’d definitely find me down here! We had the most incredible weather all weekend long — hot in the sun, cool in the shade – we totally took advantage, got in tons of steps and soaked up all the Vitamin D.

SHOP THE LOOK
I just purchased my AGolde Denim Shorts and wore them for the first time during our trip. LOVE THEM!! My last pair of denim shorts lasted me 5 years. I still have them, but they are pretty beat up, so it was time to invest in a new pair. I ordered both a 26 and 27 but ultimately decided on keeping the 27 — they are a better length and fit for me. I linked a couple olive green tanks I’m loving, the one I’m wearing is from a local boutique.
