First & foremost, Love Love Love YOU. There is no relationship more important than the relationship you have with yourself. As cliche as it sounds, speaking from experience, you simply will not find true love & contentment in your life until you are happy with & love yourself. Secondly, surround yourself with those who love you, support you, build you up and bring love, happiness & positivity into your life. There is nothing selfish about discarding negative people & situations from your life — getting rid of the negative only allows the good to flow in.
HEALTH.
One day at a time, One meal at a time, One workout at a time. Let this be the year that you cultivate a healthier, happier version of You! Baby Steps, my friends. Set small goals, hit ’em & set some more! Stay away from setting unrealistic goals that you know you won’t be able to achieve, which only sets yourself for disappointment. Create new & healthy LIFESTYLE habits that you can stick with month after month — small, consistent changes add up to make for big, long-lasting habits.
HAPPINESS.
All of the commitments & responsibilities of life — work & work travel, meetings, kids, errands, workouts, etc…all have a way of making us forget to MAKE time for the people & things — little & big — that bring happiness into your life. My boyfriend/BFF, my family & good friends bring so much joy into my life. Little things like stopping to appreciate or take a leisurely walk on a beautiful, sunny day, watch the sunset, really good chocolate & wine, music, yoga, being lazy, girls night out, taking a bath, all have a way of nurturing your heart & soul. Big things might be splurging on that bag, coat or shoes you’ve been eyeing or finally booking a trip you’ve been dreaming of. Whatever it is — if it makes you happy…make it happen!
PROSPERITY.
Do What You Love. Love What You Do….AND do what it takes to become successful in it! I’m lucky that I get to do what I love every single day. Everyone has their own idea of success or “making it” and these notions will no doubt change as you move thru your life. All of life’s experiences, good & bad, the places you go, the people you encounter will all change your perspective & cause you to grow as a person and what you think you want or need at one point in your life may be something completely different than it once was. Do what it takes to live a life that is fulfilling in all areas — personally (your relationship with yourself), for your career, your health & wellness & for the relationships in your life. Write your book & may 2015 be your best year yet!
