Maca Powder is back in da house…Wee!! I didn’t waste a minute whipping up this Strawberry-Maca Pre-Workout Smoothie using this Peruvian superfood before heading out on an evening sweat sesh today!
Strawberry-Maca Pre-Workout Smoothie
organic frozen strawberries. 1 cup
unsweetened vanilla almond milk. 3/4 cup
filtered water. 1/4 cup
MaraNatha chunky almond butter. 1 tablespoon
cinnamon. couple dashes

I think I can be quoted in saying “you can only do/take so much in a day”. I’m so obsessed with superfoods – nuts, seeds, spices, powders – you name it! But there’s just so much you can take (and absorb) in a day. With that being said, I decided I needed some Maca back in my life so I’m trying out a new brand, and I’ll report back on it in a couple weeks!

Everyone is different, but I can really feel a difference in my energy levels, endurance & more importantly, my recovery from my workouts when using Maca Powder.
This ancient superfood is known for its potency and recommended starting with as little as an 1/8 of a teaspoon – 1/2 teaspoon and building up to 1 teaspoon per serving. Additionally, Maca should be cycled. For example, 1 day on/ 1 day off or if you use it for several days in a row, take 2-3 days off.
