Hi Hi! Happy Monday, loves!! Hope your weekend was wonderful and hoping everyone got outside to soak up this amazing fall feeling floating around in the air! 🙂 Major sleepyhead over here, I got up at 5am to fly back to CLT from spending a long weekend in RVA with my babe. Flying home on a Sunday is just no fun. I mean…Sundays are for Lovers. <3

After a small rain delay, I arrived in Richmond & got to our apartment around 8pm. Adam was still at work, so I decided to get unpacked a bit, freshen up and then I grabbed an Uber to meet up with him and a couple others at this totally cute spot, Saison Market.

Dinner at Saison Market…terrible, in-the-dark iPhone photo but this veggie rice bowl, O.M.G.
Crispy Carolina Gold Rice Bowl
Victory Farm Vegetables, Fermented Chili Sauce, Pickled Oyster Mushrooms
I’d eat this every day. seriously tho.
FRIDAY
Adam was up at 530am, left the house just after six & didn’t walk thru the door until 9pm. Yikes, right!? These last few days of preproduction are kinda crazy before filming begins bright & early on Wednesday. I slept in, went to the market to get some stuff in the house for A, took an Uber over to Carytown, walked a bunch, popped into some local shops and had a long lunch while editing some photos at Can Can. I finally headed back to the apartment to change and head out on a walk to nowhere all over downtown Richmond. My aimless wandering led me up some awesome hills which made for a great power walk and eventually landed me at the Virginia Capitol & all the gorgeous buildings that surround it. After days of rain & nasty hot, humidity, Friday (September 11th) was an absolutely glorious day.

goodies from Ellwood Thompson’s local market

FriYAY lunch at Can Can started with this Almond Milk Honey Lavender Latte. (light on the honey, for future reference) salmon salad + a side of FF & a glass of rosé.

I decided that staying in would be the perfect Friday evening so Adam could relax after a super long day & work week. The kitchen in this rental apartment isn’t quite equipped for any real cooking so I kept it simple with a goat cheese board + a delicious salad topped off with quinoa for a little extra substance. Dark chocolate for dessert, wine, music and candles made for the best night in.

SATURDAY
Happy morning together of coffee & brek before Adam had to go into the office for just an hour. I rolled out a yoga mat and basically did about 30 minutes of much needed deep stretch after an intense workout at OrangeTheory Fitness (blog post coming soon) earlier in the week. I wasn’t sore…just really tight and I hadn’t gotten in any yoga all week. About the time I got done stretching, Adam was back and we headed down to the gym for a great workout!

his & hers breakfast bowls on repeat all weekend…
fresh strawberries, banana & figs topped off with Cacao Nibs & Qi’a Superfood Cereal. His is topped off with some really stupid expensive organic yogurt he found at the local Farmer’s Market but since I don’t do dairy, I just stuck with the Qi’a + a bit of almond milk.

post sweat sesh eats at Stella’s Grocery which is just across the way from Stella’s Restaurant which we’ve heard really good things about. I’m sure we will find our way to this spot at some point… lol

we headed over to Carytown to walk around, check out a couple shops, then back home for a rainy afternoon nap, showers and to get ready for Saturday date night at Dutch & Co.

SUNDAY
long, lazy morning + a 1.5 walk along the James River & over the bridge to Belle Island followed by a super yum lunch at Union Market. We ran a couple errands afterwards and then home to shower and get ready to meet everyone at the movies for a private screening of the last film Adam shot. This was the first time I’ve been to screening with him and it was such a fun & special night to be a part of and I just couldn’t be more proud of my love.

Lite dinner at Rappahannock after the film fam get together. We shared this so-good Wahoo on top of black eyed peas with picked cucumbers & beans along with their heirloom tomato salad.
