Hi Loves! Happy (rainy) Tuesday. Hoping your week is off to a great start! Popping in to share a short, but sweet weekend in RVA with my love — weekend No. 5, I can’t believe it! Adam has been away for over 3 months, (eek) but the so-good news is that filming wraps mid November and my babe will be home soon!!
The shoot schedule has become pretty crazy as they are approaching the end of filming..last Friday (and this coming Friday) are what they call “hard nights” — a hard night, no doubt, the crew started filming at 4pm on Friday afternoon and wrapped at 7am, Saturday morning. Shoot me! I seriously do not know how they do it. I’m pretty sure I would die.
So as I began, the weekend was super short — I flew up Friday night and back home to CLT on Monday morning — giving me Saturday & Sunday with my A.
The weekend was incredibly low-key and perfectly perfect – my heart was fuller than full to be with Adam since we had 3 weeks apart instead of the usual 2. Lots of sleep, chilled in the apartment, worked out, Saturday date night at one our RVA faves, Dutch & Co., and had friends over Sunday dinner.
And just like that, another weekend here & gone. I’m flying back up on Thursday to spend the Halloween weekend together!
What does everyone have planned for the fun weekend!? xx
P.S. I’ve actually started putting the Snapchat app to use after its just been hanging out on my phone for so long. Follow along @LaurenSchwaiger

I went directly to Ellwood Thompson’s to get food in the house & just headed right back to the apartment to chill out and made this yummy salad with this amazeballs Wild Caught Tuna Salad I picked up from the deli at the market. They have THE best stuff there — like Whole Foods on steroids. lol

Saturday started with these superfoods breakfast bowls full of so much yummy, gooey, goodness!

much needed Saturday Sweat Sesh

apres sweat salads
greens, tomatoes, pepitas, chicken & avocado.

still fighting this cold/sinus junk over here + Adam is feeling worn down from lack of sleep/crazy schedule — these 2 were on repeat all weekend.

“Babe, will you take a picture?” (haha)
Heading out for date night @ Dutch & Co.

Dessert was amaze — this thing they do called the HoneyPot + we got the Stroop Waffle. OMG. It was so dark & the pics were terrible, so you’ll just have to go sometime! 😉

total nerd, swooning over our cart of healthy greens & goodies we picked up at Fresh Market on Sunday afternoon. We loaded up on everything we needed for our Sunday roast! For our side, I roasted brussels sprouts with one bite new potatoes + sweet onions & made a really amazing fall salad that I’m not sharing until I make it a proper blog post! 😉
We used this Pot Roast with Winter Root Vegetables recipe from Bon Appétit. It was SO good and made for THE perfect, cozy meal on an Autumnal Sunday evening.
