Last Saturday night was such a fun & unexpectedly special evening! On Friday evening, one of my best girlfriends asked me if I could attend this charity event with her and of course I said yes! The event was held at one of our beautiful Golf & Country Clubs here in Charlotte, Quail Hollow Club in honor of our Navy Seals – particularly the SEALS-NSW (Naval Special Warfare) Family Foundation – which raises awareness & money for the families of our truly extraordinary Seals.
What these men go thru just in training alone is incredible, and missions….? Remarkable. I was honored to be in a room with so many real life heroes and actually was sat next to one at our table along with his super sweet wife, Rachael.
The evening started about 530 with cocktails, mingling & a silent auction. After about an hour or so we were ushered outside to watch as a few amazing paratroopers made their way down to us! One of the troopers was flying the American Flag…goosebumps. Soon after we headed into the beautiful tent where we had dinner. Before settling at our tables, another goosebumps moment…an amazing rendition of the national anthem + there were several incredible speakers throughout the night & we watched a video of real life SEAL training. So Crazy and amazing what they are capable of. Talk about only the strong survive! It seriously was a special night.
