Hi friends, Happy Wednesday. Hope everyone is having a good week and enjoyed the long holiday weekend with family & friends! I meant to get this post out a couple days ago, but it’s been a busy week over here + I was knee deep in my taxes yesterday sorting thru write off’s for my appointment with my accountant this afternoon. 🤪 I’m such a procrastinator. lol any body else?
We had a super low key weekend that was a perfect mix of active & healthy + lazy & indulgent. We ate at a couple of our favorite spots – Kindred & The Waterman. We were supposed to spend the day cooking out and hanging with my whole family at my sisters house, but my brother-in-law wasn’t feeling good all of a sudden {not Covid related, in case you were wondering} so Adam and I decided to spend the weekend just the two of us.
Saturday started with a festive bowl of oatmeal before heading outside for a run/walk. Adam worked out and kicked around on the soccer field while I did about 4.5 miles on a new loop I’ve been loving around our neighborhood. I power walk up a huge hill and run a portion — such a good workout. The heat totally got to me tho — I came home feeling so overheated and my face was as red as lobster! 😂
I took a much needed cold shower, relaxed, did some stretching and got ready for an early dinner on the patio at Kindred in Davidson. Their patio is so pretty…I just wish it wasn’t so hot!

Sunday called for a sleeping in + a slow morning. We were pretty lazy most of the day and grabbed dinner outside with a couple friends at The Waterman. We love this spot for their oysters. Did snap any food pics, just enjoyed the evening with friends.
kept things casual for dinner with one of my new favorite tanks {don’t you just love that color!? I have it in white, too.} and the softest trousers — both from Anthropologie. My sandals are super old, but I linked a similar paid I’m loving from Sam Edelman.
Have a great rest of the week!! Stay healthy, friends! xx
