I recently restocked on my Spirulina powder and have been whipping up yummy smoothie bowls like this one for Adam & I for breakfast or a little late afternoon/post workout plant based deliciousness!
Spirulina, a natural blue-green algae, is one of natures most powerful superfoods! (so I’ve read!) This super green (in color) supplement, surprisingly doesn’t have a crazy strong flavor and blends well with smoothies or sprinkled on top (but its also available in supplement form). Spirulina is a complete protein, containing all your essential amino acids + its loaded with Iron, Omega-3’s & GLA’s (gamma-linolenic acid) which are a natural anti-inflammatory.

This bowl of green goodness is a perfect way to start your day or an awesome recovery meal after a workout! Its packed with plenty of plant-based protein for your muscles + loads of fiber, minerals & nutrients like B Vitamins, Calcium, Potassium + Vitamins C & D. I know I say this all the time, but, these bowls seriously taste like dessert!! Which is pretty awesome considering mine & Adam’s sweet tooth! (LOL)
