Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend!!
We had the most gorgeous weekend here in Charlotte, the temps cooled back down to the mid-high 80’s and let me tell you…after a week+ of 95+ degrees, I couldn’t have been happier to see the forecast cool off.
How did you spend your weekend!? Adam flew out to Vegas to shoot for a few days on Thursday morning – Sunday evening, so my Thursday – Sunday was spent hanging with friends + extra family time {my little nephew had his second show with his band at Boatyard Eats near Lake Norman} and I got in a couple really good workouts!
As I mentioned above, the temps have been hot hot hot! And while it has cooled off for a few days, I know the nasty heat & humidity will be right back again. I can’t believe I’m typing this, but I have actually grown to hate summer – it’s just SO hot and furthermore, HUMID! There is nothing pleasant about leaving your house during this time of year – UGH. I have daydreams of sitting outside, working, dining alfresco, all the dreamy outdoor things…and then I remember I live in Charlotte. {haha}
So… with that being said, lightweight clothing is essential to surviving the summer heat. I have really been into linen this season – it’s such a perfect fabric for summer and I recently learned that linen is one of the most sustainable fabrics you can wear!
Linen is a natural fiber made from the flax plant. It doesn’t require any pesticides and every part of the plant is used. Linen is organic, biodegradable, recyclable and scores high on the ecological chart.
Aren’t these striped linen shorts just the cutest!?
