Last Sunday morning came pretty early, as we had to be up and get ready for a family breakfast at my boyfriends parents house to see his brother, sis-in-law & spend time with his niece & nephew. Throwing on my fave denim shirt x white linen shorts + these super cute, Ellen Tracy Espadrille flats that I scored at Marshall’s last month was the perfect, casual & put-together morning outfit.
We arrived at my bf’s parents house about 930am and enjoyed the gorgeous morning outside, playing with the kids for a while before we headed inside for a yummy breakfast that my boyfriends mom so sweetly prepared for everyone! His family eats super healthy just like us and also sticks to a predominately gluten free diet, so breakfast was delicious selection of fruit salad, organic chicken sausage & bacon, an AMAZING Gluten Free Apple cake that she made from the Cooking with Isaiah cookbook + some other goodies.
We headed back to our hotel around noon, just as it was getting too hot to be in these clothes and time to get changed into my bikini! Weee… Originally, we were only planning to stay in Raleigh on Saturday night but the day was just too gorgeous to spend half the afternoon in the car, driving back to CLT. When we woke up on Sunday morning, we called down to see if we were able to extend our stay and luckily, the answer was, YES! :)
After snapping a few pics around the lush & lovely grounds of The Umstead Hotel & Spa, the rest of the day was spent relaxing by the pool listening to music on our Grain Audio speaker that we brought along for the trip, sipping on Mixed Berry Mojitos & getting served frozen grapes. Tough day, right!? haha
I’ll be posting about our stay at The Umstead in a separate post, but this place is definitely a great spot for a fun, relaxing, romantic weekend getaway!
