Hey Hey, TGIF, loves! Hope everyone had wonderful week!! Life has been pretty crazy lately, I seriously feel like all I’ve been doing for the last 2 months is work, work, workout, and work some more. Real Estate has really taken off for me this year (I didn’t really jump into it like I should have when I first got my license last year), however, I’m still personal training clients as well and of course trying to stay consistent with blogging. With all that being said, I’ve somehow gotten away from sharing all the little moments in between – workouts, healthy eats & personal stuff such as Adam’s parents being in town for a visit last weekend.
So, my goal is to make the time to get back to sharing all the other stuff because there’s so much more to life than outfit posts, ya know!?
{we have so many flowers around the house right now and they make me so happy}
So Adam’s parents got into Charlotte last Saturday around 7pm and we cooked up our current favorite meal for them — Asian Bowls!! We have been OBSESSED with making these yummy bowls for the last few months. Basically you make your bowl of rice or noodles (or both if your Adam) lol We do purple cabbage, carrots, bok choy, edamame, scallions, we make an Asian inspired cucumber salad to add to the mix, tomatoes, sesame seeds, Thai basil (from our garden) all kindsa deliciousness and then pick a protein – tuna, salmon and/or add a soft boiled or poached egg! Its SO good, you guys! We got this insane Albino Salmon from Clean Catch – OMG.
Sunday was super chill and we ate SO much! haha We grabbed brunch and a mimosa at Halcyon, checked out the current exhibit at The Bechtler Museum, went for a little walk on The Greenway behind us, made the most delicious tomato, basil, & mozzarella salad and picked up this super fun “forty” of rosé. I mean, how could we not!?
We have been eating so.many.tomatoes. We have a couple tomato plants in our baby potted garden but my parents have the most gorgeous and delicious tomatoes this season as well as jalapeños & banana peppers + Adam and I are growing cucumbers for the first time! If you’ve never planted a garden, I encourage you to do so. Its bring us so much joy and not to mention homegrown goodies are WAY better than store bought.
{I’m obsessed with these DRY Sparkling Sodas – The cucumber flavor is my go-to but their newest flavor for summer, watermelon, is pretty bomb.com}
As if we didn’t already have enough to eat, we went to Ok-u for sushi and finally ended our Sunday Funday at Two Scoops for some ice cream! I was scrolling thru Instagram on our way there and just so happened to see that it was #NationalIceCreamDay — we had no idea — we walked into Two Scoops and the place was bonkers. I got my favorite flavor – mint & cookies – so YUM!
Whenever Adam’s parents come to town, we get Jack!! Is he not the cutest!? Adam just brought him in from a walk and he immediately returned to his bed. lol
