Ah, TGIF!! What a jam packed week it has been! I feel like I worked a lifetime in the last 5 days. ok, not really. But seriously tho, I’ve had a really awesome & productive week. Hope this post finds you so well on this gorgeous Spring day. I’m sitting outside enjoying the warm sun and finishing up this yummy green smoothie as I type…
power greens mix | 1/2 lemon, juiced | 1 banana | frozen pineapple | cinnamon | 2 Tspn chia seeds | splash of almond milk, water & ice
So! I am thrilled to finally share the reason behind all this writing I’ve been doing lately! I wanted to wait until my first article was published so I could actually show you this awesome new job I’ve taken on, rather than just tell you about it. A few weeks ago, I linked up with a fantastic company, ActivewearUSA who has newly launched a magazine portion to their preexisting e-commerce site. I am now contributing to the magazine as their Fitness Fashion writer. eeeek!! This role is pretty dreamy for me since I am basically obsessed with fashion and this of course includes fitness fashion, naturally. I mean… 1) I live in it. 2) Fitness Fashion is having a moment and I don’t see it going anywhere! I’m seeing some amazing new brands hitting the activewear scene, launching fitness apparel in chic & edgy prints, styles, designs, etc that are doubling as fitness gear + really cool street style. I can’t get enough of it actually. So, without further adieu, here is my very first published article as a Fitness Fashion writer for ActivewearUSA – Layer up for Spring. This article comes in handy considering the wonky weather we are having this Spring. I’ll be sharing more articles as they get published from now on 🙂 #excited
Other than this extra writing, my week has been business as usual. PT + my own workouts & super clean eating. uhmmm, so as I went to upload my food pics from yesterday, they were nowhere to be found. I had to use this photo off my iPad that I took and posted to insta yesterday. Idk what the heck happened, but they are long gone 🙁 there was more salad & fooled around with the blender and made a coffee smoothie with dates & banana & raw cacao power. it was pretty tasty. Last night was din with the girls at Ilios Noche – one of my faves. On the Fitness front, yesterday was my pretty standard Thursday rest day. Fasted cardio this morning …
– Treadmill: 30 minutes: power walk – Incline: 15 / Speed: 4.2.
– StairMaster: 20 minutes.
– Treadmill: (again) 10 minute jog @ 5.5
I am off to the mall! Wishing you a fun weekend! xx Much Love, LS open faced spinach omelette for brek yesterday am.
and this morning was another open faced omelette but with broccoli + goat cheese. seriously good. I cook the eggs nearly all the way and then pop the pan in the oven under the broiler for a min or two. When goat cheese is involved, this is kinda amazing. Perfectly melted & gooey. YUM.
tuna fish salad. always satisfying.
Congrats on your new writing gig…that is super exciting!
thanks so much!! so exciting.
