Hello & Happy Saturday! Hoping your bellies & hearts are full from a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by your family, friends & all of loved ones.
My family’s Thanksgiving couldn’t get more traditional, sitting down to enjoy pretty the same spread each year with the exception of a little switch of a side dish or two, and I completely adore this. There’s just something about the familiarity of our family traditions that I cherish & look forward to as they arrive year after year. My mom, the sweetest momma ever, makes all of our holidays so special & beautiful, and as corny as it may sound, our home is simply filled with family, the aroma of really, really great food, wine, cakes & cookies and the most important thing of all…hearts full of love & gratitude for all of the many blessings in our lives.
This week, as I am fighting a serious case of jet lag, (just returning from Austria last Sunday) a cold & PMS, all at once (let me tell you, its been quite the week) I slept in, had a pretty lazy day, sipped on one glass of prosecco just to toast the family & holiday and the big difference on this years Thanksgiving…I skipped dessert so I could hop in the car around 630pm and drive to Raleigh to meet my love & his family and spend half of the weekend here with him.
A few photos our delicious meal. Hoping your Thanksgiving was as happy as ours! xx
