Hello loves! Happy November! Wow, how is there less than 2 months left to 2018!? This year has moved at lightening speed. I hope you’re having a beautiful fall season thus far…
October was by far one of the busiest months of the year – the entire month felt as if it lasted a week. My favorite month kicked off with a big {35th} birthday trip to Palm Springs {so fun!}, we had dear friends visiting from Austria, Adam and I cooked up a few super yummy recipes, watched some good movies & and I have some fun purchases to share with you all!
OCTOBER OUTFIT ROUND UP
This super soft, oversized grey sweater from Urban Outfitters is the coziest thing!! I am wearing a size small. Perfect to throw on with leggings & sneaks {picture 4 above} or with skinny jeans & booties. It comes in 2 other colors & runs TTS.
This plaid button down from madewell might be my favorite plaid shirt – ever.
These Marc Fisher Pointy Toe Booties have been on repeat! So comfy & run TTS. Purchased them at a fun Influencer Event at Monkee’s – a super cute boutique here in CLT.
On the way to the airport for our Palm Springs trip, half way to the airport, I realized I left all my skincare products at home. We didn’t have time to turn back so I winded up purchasing 3 products from a Kiehl’s shop in Palm Springs…
This Calendula & Aloe Soothing Hydration Masque makes your skin so so soft & smooth. This Ultra Facial Cream is my new favorite moisturizer – my skin feels so hydrated!! Last but not least, this Super Fluid with SPF 50 is the perfect daily sun blocker. I like to mix a couple drops of the super fluid with the facial cream – sinks right in, doesn’t feel heavy or leave you looking like a mime.
I need one of the BPA Free Byta Cups in my life – perfect for hot or cold beverages + comes in countless cute color options!
2 MUST WATCH MOVIES: #1: A Quiet Place. OMG you guys, this movie was SO good. I absolutely LOVE Emily Blunt + John Krasinski. {Did you know they are married in real life!?} #2: Let The Right One In. This movie was amazing! Because of Adam, I have really come to appreciate the way a film is shot. With that being said, the cinematography in this foreign film was just so beautiful.
To break up the regular weekly rotation of recipes, we tested out a few recipes from some of our favorite sites…
Braised Chicken Thighs with Tomatillos
This Irish Stew was so delicious. Perfect for this time of year, even better as leftovers.
Zesty Braised Chicken with Lemon & Capers. We made mashed potatoes to go with this one… yum x yum
