The Saddle Bag made its way on to the scene right around Fall 2015, which is about the same time I made the decision to splurge & purchase my precious Chloe.
The Saddle Bag has stayed as popular as ever as we’ve moved thru the summer months AND will continue to be the “It” bag as we move into Fall ’16 and beyond, as we see designers continuing to pump out a whole new crop of saddle bags in some of falls most fabulous shades – blush, burgundy, the always in style neutrals (grey, black & tans) + other fun fall colors like mustard’s & shades of blue.
For me, investing in a fabulous designer purse is worth every penny! I can’t tell you how happy my Chloe makes me and I get so.many.compliments on her! With that being said, I don’t splurge on just any bag. If you’ve been following along for a while, you know & see that my style is classic & all about the basics & versatility.
When it comes to fashion, only certain items are worth investing in…to me, any way. And bags happen to be on that short list! You will never go wrong or be out of style if you stick with classic, timeless pieces. Trends come and go, but the classics always remain. I bought this bag because I literally could NOT stop thinking about it! Every time I would walk into Neiman’s, she would be calling my name. I went with the tan one because I knew it was the most practical for me and I would get a ton of use out of it. I really loved the grey one, too, but I knew I wouldn’t get as much wear out of it.
Before I invest in a new capsule wardrobe piece, I consider a few things first:
1. Do I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE it. If something is just an eh, don’t buy it!
2. Is it versatile? Can I mix & match this with multiple pieces in my closet?
3. Is this just a trend or a classic that I can wear for years to come. Ok, this one is more for you guys. lol I’ve moved past my years of buying clothes & accessories that wind up sitting in my closet and never get used. Hone in on your personal style & go from there. Like I said above, trends come and go. If you follow every trend, you’ll wind up with a ton of “stuff” that you’ll never wear again. Classics are always a winner.
If Chloe or other high end designers aren’t in your budget, don’t fret! There are so many awesome saddle bags to choose from at every price! I actually have an eye on a couple (way less expensive ones) for the fall that I’m sharing below.
I split my picks into different shades just to keep things easy & organized vs a giant selection of every single color & texture that could make your saddle bag head spin!!
Happy Shopping!! xx
