Isn’t it wild to see how our hair changes throughout the years!? When we think about aging, it think it’s pretty safe to say that most of us tend to think about our face, skin, body, right? But….our hair ages right along with the rest of our bodies. In my late teens & twenties, I used to actually sit in the chair and ask to have my hair thinned. Now I’m like, uhm…can I get some of that hair back, please?? Being in my 30’s, I’ve noticed a lot of changes in my hair — more shedding & widening of my part, mainly — and I’m always trying new products to keep my hair healthy, long & strong. It goes without saying that eating clean, unprocessed, whole foods contributes to healthy hair – and your health, in general – but using the right tools & products can absolutely make a difference, too.
I’ve been using the products below for several months now and have noticed a lot of healthy changes in my hair. It appears to be a bit thicker, less breakage, less shedding & grows a little faster.

Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil + Hair Mask
It took me a while to pull the trigger on these products but I am so glad I did. I absolutely LOVE the Honey Infused Hair Oil & Hair Mask from Gisou and these products totally live up to the hype.
I use the Honey Infused Hair Oil on my ends when styling my hair & the Hair Mask every 7-10 days as a deep conditioning treatment in the shower. Both products make my hair SO soft and they smell so amazing! Adam loves the hair oil, too! {lol}

I’ve been taking this supplement for about 3 months & absolutely LOVE it! It’s packed with vitamins, minerals, plant extracts & hair essentials like biotin, kelp, saw palmetto, and horsetail + ashwagandha and ginseng. I can really see a difference in the overall health of my hair. I’ve bounced around to different brands/supplements and this one has by far been my favorite.
Ashwaganda is one of my absolute favorite adaptogenic herbs which helps your body manage stress. We all know stress can effect our hair health. Another thing I love about this products is that it’s 100% Clean!

I started using this Clarifying Shampoo in the summer to get rid of excess build up & sweat from all my workouts and I just love how clean & shiny it makes my hair. I use this shampoo 1x {occasionally 2x} a week and give my hair & scalp an extra good scrub & massage.
I have never been one to use hair products like hairspray and dry shampoo {your spraying chemicals on your head that absorb into your body!!!} but if that’s your thing, then I’d recommend this shampoo to get all the gunk off your strands & scalp.

Slipsilk Skinny Silk Scrunchie
I was super late to the scrunchie party and now I can’t get enough of them. These ‘skinny’ silk scrunchies are so gentle on your hair which prevents damage & breakage. Slip scrunchies are made from the same silk they use to make their silk pillowcases which are on my list to purchase!
Do you sleep on a silk pillow case? Have you ever? I’ve slept on a silk pillow case here and there but have always wound up going back to a regular one for some reason. Did you know that sleeping on a silk pillow case is known to be good for your hair and prevent wrinkles? Talk about beauty sleep!

Keranique Scalp Stimulating Shampoo and Conditioner
I began using Keranique Keratin Shampoo & Conditioner about 1.5 years ago and it truly has made such a difference in the health & thickness of my hair. Before I started using this set, my part was noticeably getting wider & I was becoming incredibly self conscious about it.
Whenever I wash my hair, I leave the shampoo & conditioner on my hair for 3 minutes each (as the directions advise to do) and I can definitely feel the ingredients of these products working their magic. An added bonus to this shampoo & conditioner is that keratin it really tames my natural curls & frizz. If your noticing any thinning, I definitely recommend trying out these products.
One last thing I wanted to share/chat about – washing your hair.
Going days on end without washing our hair seems to be a badge of honor these days. Personally, I’ve noticed that the longer I go between washes, the more hair I seem to lose in the shower. While washing your hair every single day might not be the best, not washing for 5+ days isn’t necessarily the healthiest either. When your hair & scalp get too dirty, you actually cause blockage & build up in your hair follicles which can lead to hair loss as well. 3 days really is my max.
Also, as I mentioned above, I have never been into hair products. I keep things pretty simple when it comes to products all around but in regards to hair products, if your going to use hair spray, dry shampoo, mousse, pomade, etc….try to seek out clean versions of these popular products as they are absorbed by your body and can wreak havoc on your health long term.
Thanks so much for stopping in! Wishing you the best week! xx
