Hiii loves. Happy Friday! Hope you’ve had a wonderful week and your month is off to a fabulous start! I’ve had another great week filled with work, workouts, meetings and celebrated my 30th Birthday yesterday with my amazing friends & family! Feeling so grateful for the many blessings in my life! Now, to catch you all up on this week in Food & Workouts! Here’s a peek into what my workouts looked like this week. Just one boxing sesh this week since my coach was out of town end of week. This was actually a good thing…by the time Wednesday rolled around my body was feeling pretty dead. As you can see below, I just did some basic cardio and then took a nice long walk after dinner Wednesday night to get out and enjoy the weather. I just got my first yoga practice of the week in, just this afternoon and my God did it feel good. My hips feel so much better and open! On the weeks that I don’t get to practice as often, I find myself appreciating my yoga THAT much more. There is just a certain, indescribable feeling that you get from yoga that you just don’t get from any other form of workout. (All you yogi monsters out there know what I’m talking about) 😉 There’s a little yoga selfie to the right just before class started. Rocked my Coral Lulu Wunder Under’s & blue racer back tank! First time I put these colors together and totally loved it!

Monday: 25 Minutes – Sprint Intervals.
Full Body strength circuit. 15 minutes on the StairMaster
Tuesday: 45 minutes: Boxing Workout. 20 Minutes: 1 min Sprint/1 Minute rest on Bike Wednesday: 20 minutes fast/incline walk & 20 minutes on StairMaster

Soooo…again, had a very busy week and I meant to stay a bit more organized with my food – what I ate, on what days and when, so I’m able to share with you all. Buuuut, we all know how life goes. So I’ll do my best to summarize. Although this week was pretty simple considering the ridiculous amounts of smoothies I consumed! LOADS of smoothies were made this week!!
I had such good time in the kitchen playing around with smoothie recepies. Made my very first smoothie with carrots which tasted really good but not the desired consistency I was going for. Pretty much knew this going into it, but wanted to fool around with it for taste anyway. Definitely needed a juicer for this, not just the blender. Made my carrot concoction and literally just 2 hours later whipped up a delicious mixed berry smoothie.
Smoothies, Smoothies & More Smoothies…
Green Smoothie:
Kale (about 2 handfuls), 1 stalk celery, banana, kiwi, juice of 1 lemon, spirulina, water & ice.
This smoothie was AMAZING! So SO good.
Base: Pomegranate White Tea, Frozen Mixed Berries(blue, black, rasp & Cherries), 1 Scoop Raw Vanilla Protein Powder, Raw Cacao Nibs, Cinnamon, Nutmeg & Banana – Yumma!
Left: Mixed Berry Smoothie: Unsweetened, Vanilla Almond Milk, Frozen mixed berries (Same) cinnamon, raw cacao nibs, Ground flaxseed.
Right: Carrot Smoothie: 2 carrots shredded, cinnamon, turmeric, dash of cayenne pepper, lemon, water & ice. Tasted good, but consistency just wasn’t right in the blender. Winded up straining it and drinking the juice. Not bad for my first stab at a carrot juice 🙂
And below is just a few of my clean eats from throughout the week!
Tuesday:
Brekkie:
Apple, Cinnamon & Coconut Oil Oatmeal. Had my boxing sesh today so ate a heavier breakfast.
Put together this little collage for you guys to see what goes into the oatmeal and how to make it. I cook the apples in with the oats to really bring out the sweet, gala apple flavor.
Pre boxing meal:
Left over sweet potatoes & sauteed zucchini. Brown rice w/ peppers. More complex carbs to get me thru my boxing workout.
Wednesday:
Dinner: Mmm Mmm Good…Lentil Soup!
White Beans, tomatoes, olive oil, lemon & herbs with avocado. (little treat from my neighbor) About 30 minutes later whipped up my Mixed Berry Smoothie with Pomegranate White Tea (pictured above)
Thursday/Birthday:
Baku Salad: Mixed Greens with candied Pecans (dressing on side)
Amazing, roasted sweet potatoes with cinnamon & maple syrup.
Scallops and Special Birthday Dessert with Baku’s to-die-for, melt in your mouth chocolate truffles!
Friday:
Brekkie:
2 Eggs Scrambled with some leftover sauteed greens. Oatmeal with cinnamon, walnuts, & chopped up dried apricots. Clearly, I woke up hungry this morning!! haha Slightly hungover from the birthday celebrations last night and needed something just a bit heavier this morning to stick to my ribs. Green Smoothie just wasn’t gonna cut it today.
Lunch:
Business lunch at Terrace Cafe in South Park. Mixed Greens salad with Grilled Chicken, cucumbers, tomatoes, strawberries, grapes, goat cheese and yes! a side of French Fries. They were oh so good & satisfying. Grabbed a quick latte at D&D (soy milk…errrr! They don’t carry Almond Milk) then off to catch my 420 hot yoga class at Y2! Made a green smoothie when I got home from yoga. Didn’t take a pic, but I’m pretty sure you guys don’t need to see another photo of a green smoothie!
Wishing you a fun weekend! xx
