Hiya dolls!
Whew!! Its been a LONG day….finally home after 9.5 hours of sitting on plane…so boring, but so worth it. I had such an amazing trip — I am beyond grateful for having the chance to take in & experience both Budapest & London. I took hundreds of photos that I cannot wait to sort thru and share with you all!
So aside from the long flight – zero travel complaints, really. Actually, I couldn’t have been luckier. Woke up this morning at 6am London time — quick shower, LOTS of coffee + light brek at the hotel, then off to LHR to catch my flight. Security was a breeze, pit stop at Pret-A-Manger to load up on some healthy in-flight snacks, boarded my flight to find that it was nearly half empty and I had the whole row to myself! Yesss. Who needs first class when you can have an entire row to stretch out in!? I had the same good fortune on my flight over, as well — the travel Gods were with me 🙂
Watched 2 movies on my flight — one new, one oldie but oh so goodie. 1) Rush — Ahhhmazing movie starring my boyfriend Chris Hemsworth, about Formula 1 racing. Fantastic movie & story about the persistent rivalry between two Formula 1 drivers. Definitely adding this film to my list of all time favorites. 2) The Proposal — Sandra Bullock & my other boyfriend, Ryan Reynolds. Haven’t seen this in forever and I was laughing just as hard as the first time I watched it.
healthy travel tips
Coffee, Fresh Squeezed Grapefruit Juice, Dried Fruits + Raw Nuts & Fresh Fruits
If only it were like this every time I traveled…
Pret-A-Manger: Green Goodness + Salmon, Tomatoes, Quinoa Mix
I loved that this was the quote on my Yogi Tea bag — without a doubt, I’m feeling nothing but gratitude after my amazing trip…life is good. Side Note: I always travel with a big bottle of water + herbal teas. (just ask the stewardess for 2 cups of hot water, or stop at Sbux before boarding and get a venti of hot water) This is a super easy way to stay hydrated on your flight. Just flying alone sucks the life out of your skin…skip the caffeine & alcohol and reach for more water so you can step off the plane looking & feeling fresh 😉
Pret-A-Manger: Beet Beautiful + Dried berries & raw nuts
(with my travel in mind, picked up this little superfoods mixture yesterday from a lovely shop I fell in love with while in London)
Raw Protein Travel Packet
picked up 4 of these to travel with before I left, really came in handy for an easy protein fix and to hold me over in between meals – I saved the bottle from my Green Juice to mix up my protein
This part. Pee-your-pants funny. Just never gets old.
Chicken | Steamed Broccoli | Roasted Potatoes and finally home…
Hope this post shows how easy it is to eat healthy while traveling or just on-the-go in general. All it takes is just a few extra minutes and some simple planning. The airport is filled with so much junk (not to mention, double the price) — BUT, there ARE plenty of healthy options to choose from. When there’s a will, there’s a way.
I’m off to bed and hoping this jet lag doesn’t kill my sleep tonight.
G’Night & Much Love,
