I’ve never had the thickest hair, however, for the last few years, I’ve noticed my hair getting thinner and my part getting wider. On top of that, my hair has always been *very* slow to grow. All I’ve ever wanted was super long hair but every time I start to get just a little bit of length, it’s time for a trim and I feel like I’ve lost any growth gained. I had come across VEGAMOUR on Instagram and I was initially attracted to the brand because their products are vegan, plant-based and free of any harmful hormones or chemicals. I started scrolling their feed & perused the products on their website – so naturally, I started getting nonstop ads in my IG Stories. {gotta love those tracking cookies} lol
I took my time reading all the information provided on the VEGAMOUR website + countless reviews (there’s over 3000 reviews and counting) and finally decided to pull the trigger and place an oder. I purchased VEGAMOUR GRO Hair Serum + GRO WELL Hair Boost Supplement Powder + Probiotic last October/November.

Ironically, after about 1 month of using the GRO Hair Serum, I received an email from VEGAMOUR asking if I would like to try out some of their products. I had shared with my brand contact that I had been using the GRO Serum for a little over a month and had noticed small changes but not much. She recommended using the GRO Hair Serum in combination with the GRO Shampoo & Conditioner. She had personally used all 3 products together after experiencing postpartum hair loss and had great results! All that being said, I happily agreed to testing out the GRO Shampoo & Conditioner + VEGAMOUR sent over a couple more products to try out as well.

MY RESULTS – MONTH BY MONTH
I’ve been using the GRO Hair Serum + GRO Shampoo & Conditioner consistently since receiving the products. As I mentioned above, I ordered the GRO Serum late last October and started using the serum right at the beginning of November 2021. I received the package VEGAMOUR sent just before Christmas and started using the GRO Shampoo & Conditioner right away. I really did start seeing greater results once I began using all 3 products together.
- Within the first 30-45 days, I noticed I was losing a lot less hair in the shower and finding less hair in my round brush after drying my hair. I honestly noticed less shedding within the first two weeks! Prior to starting with the GRO Serum, I was losing a ton of hair in the shower. I’d run my fingers through my hair to work the conditioner through and my hands would be covered in hair. Naturally, by losing less hair, my hair appeared to look thicker, but I don’t believe any actual new growth occurred in that time.
- During the 45-90 day timeframe, I was barely shedding at all, my hair looked thicker and so much healthier overall. I also noticed that my hair looked better & fresher between washes. Whereas before, my hair just didn’t look cute if I happen to go 2+ days between washes. lol
- 90-120+ days. I have definitely noticed so many positive changes in my hair – thicker at the scalp & part, continuing to look & feel healthier overall, a little bit longer and my ends are thicker as well! I’ve had one longer layer (from when I used to get layers cut into my hair) that just wouldn’t grow out and match up with my ends. That layer has grown out quite a bit and my hair is looking healthier & fuller.

a bit longer, ends are thicker + so smooth & healthier, overall.
One of the FAQ’s on the VEGAMOUR website is: “When Can I Expect to See Results?”
A: Expect to see fuller, thicker looking hair within 90 days and peak results by 120 days.
I 100% agree! I personally started seeing the most results at the 120+ day mark. Consistency is key and it’s also important to keep in mind the growth cycle of our hair. I workout 4-5X a week and I typically only use the GRO Serum on days that I wash my hair. VEGAMOUR recommends using the serum on towel dried hair and I second that suggestion. I have tried it on dry hair a few times, and I’ll admit, I did notice a bit of a residue left behind…
Speaking of residue, one of my biggest hesitations in ordering the VEGAMOUR GRO Hair Serum was that I was afraid the serum would leave a greasy residue in my hair. That couldn’t be further from the truth. After showering, I wrap a towel around my hair to absorb excess water for about 5ish minutes. I remove the towel, put a dropper full of GRO Serum in my scalp, massage it in a bit, comb my hair, then dry/style as usual. The serum leaves zero greasiness or stickiness behind. Each bottle of GRO Serum lasts about a month.
VEGAMOUR GRO Shampoo & Conditioner – I love this shampoo & conditioner. I also love that a little goes a long way – my first set of shampoo & conditioner lasted for about 3+ months! I give my scalp a good massage when I shampoo & leave it on for about 60 seconds, as recommend. I initially work the conditioner through my hair with my fingers and then I use a fine tooth comb to work it through my hair even more. I started doing this a couple years ago and I swear it makes such a difference – every single strand of hair is coated with conditioner and it makes my hair so soft & smooth!
Another product VEGAMOUR sent over for me to try out is their Pure Marula Oil. I’ve been a long time fan of oils for my hair & skin and I’ve been loving this Marula Oil that is full of antioxidants, omega fatty acids and oleic acid. I like to work about 5-6 drops through my hair from scalp to ends once every week or two and leave it in for at least an hour, for a deep, hydrating treatment – my hair is beyond silky & smooth afterwards. It’s also just as amazing as a nighttime face oil. Love to use a few drops and do my gua sha routine – so yummy.
If you’re struggling with hair loss, shedding and/or thinning due to postpartum, hormone imbalance or any other reason I can’t recommend VEGAMOUR enough. My two main reasons for starting to use the products was to help my hair grow longer + gain more density. I’ve always had a lot of hair, but fine hair. As I mentioned at the beginning of the post, I’ve noticed my hair getting thinner over the last few years. And to think I used to have my hair thinned out! LOL
It’s been about 6 months since I’ve been using the VEGAMOUR GRO products and I plan to continue to use them for at least another 6 months to see what type of results I get beyond this first 6 months of use. I feel like the photos above aren’t the best depiction of my results, but I can’t honestly say I am so happy with the growth and changes I’ve seen since using the products. There’s just a certain quality to my hair now vs. before I started using VEGAMOUR. Happy customer over here. 😊

Can I use this shampoo and conditioner every-other washing and continue to use my regular shampoo in between?
Hi Debbie,
I would use the Vegamour shampoo & conditioner every time you wash & condition your hair. I really did start seeing more results when using both the serum + shampoo and conditioner.
Hi Lauren, Great article on Vegamour! I’m a newcomer to Vegamour and I’m living with progressed thinning due to female patterned baldness. The shedding and hair loss has been continuing for 2+ years. At this point I’ve lost 40% of my hair. Several things have been tried either with no success or side effects. I just starting this program 1 month ago. Everything you stated is correct. However I use the Gro serum daily as my scalp and hair are so dry I can only wash it 1x p/wk., right now but I’m also unable to work out so I don’t sweat.
I have two questions 1. Is the marula oil worth the investment? 2. Which gua sha do you use and what oil can I use aside from the marula oil with the facial tool?
Thank you
Fran🦋
Hi Fran,
Thanks so much! So glad you enjoyed the post. I’m so sorry to hear about your hair thinning, loss & shedding.
I absolutely love the Marula Oil, however, if it isn’t in your budget there are so many great oils you can use.
Trader Joe’s has really great organic options that I use on both my face and hair. I’ve used their Argan Oil and my mom actually uses (and loves!) their Marula Oil. I also like their jojoba oil, as well. I’m sure you can finds some great options at Target also. They have such a great skin care selection these days. 🙂
I have the Gua Sha stone from Wildling and I can’t say enough good things about the stone. Every curve and edge of the stone is literally made for the curves and angles of our face. I can’t recommend it enough. I gua sha at least 3x a week and love it so much.
Let me know if I can help out or answer any other questions for you!
I wish you so much luck & success with the Vegamour products. Keep using them! As I wrote in my blog post, I truly started seeing the most noticeable results around 120 days. 😉

Can these products be used on keratin treated hair? I have these products but am not sure I should.
Hi Liz,
I am not sure about using the products on Keratin treated hair.
Perhaps check out the FAQ section on the Vegamour website or reach out to them via chat or email?
I don’t have Keratin treated hair, but I do get Hair Botox to tame my curls and frizz and the products still work great!
Hope that helps!
