Wanderlust Festival : Day 2
Day 2 began with one of the most, if not THE most beautiful yoga practice I’ve ever been lead thru. Empower Flow with Seane Corn. This class consisted mostly of Sun A’s and Sun B’s. As Seane guided us through each Sun Salutation, she was doing so while saying a prayer throughout each and every asana. We flowed to prayers for our loved ones, to someone who may have hurt you in your life but you’ve now forgiven them, we prayed for all the brave men & women serving our country, plus, many more heart warming prayers and notions.
A quote that Seane gave during our time with her, that I absolutely adore because it is so true…
“The universe works like a computer. You can program it to do what you want and be anything that you want it to be”
Second class of the day, True North Alignment was a Baptiste Yoga practice with Leah Cullis. As much as I LOVE doing yoga to music, there is a special quality to practicing without it that I have come to appreciate in a Baptiste practice. Leah had a very sweet demeanor to her yet guided us thru a strong & challenging class.
A beautiful & inspiring quote that I got out of this class…
“Be the energy that you want to create — not only in your practice, but in your life”
Last, but most certainly not least! Ended my long day of yoga with Hanuman Flow – Leap of Faith lead by Janet Stone. Janet taught such a fun, lighthearted & playful class. I am not kidding you, at one point she had the entire group (close to 100 people) in a forward fold telling us to shake our asses, twerk – yes, twerk and made all the girls pull their hair down and shake our heads all over the place. Janet was such an inspiring, free spirit. To add to the awesomeness of this class, we got to play and do our yoga to some incredible music by Yoga DJ – DJ Hyfi. Pretty neat!
I was lucky enough to get a photo with the amazing Janet Stone.
My Wanderlust Yoga Style
Pink & Red Lulu with one of my fave Anthropologie scarves. Fun $10 red sunnies to match!
Who doesn’t love Dr. Seuss!?! And how sweet is this?! This was outside Brazos Hall, where the festival took place.
True Story.
Lunch at Blenders & Bowls.
I absolutely adored this place and ate here all 3 days of the festival in between classes. They had the best smoothies and bowls. This had bananas, cacao nibs, honey, hemp granola, raisins, cashews, almond butter and some other yummy stuff mixed in. So good!
Picked up these new bracelets in the market. The black has a little Buddha charm and the red has a lotus flower. I choose the Buddha bracelet because well…he is Buddha – “The Enlightened One”. And the red lotus which relates to the heart, love & compassion. Nearly everything that I wear – bracelets, necklace, rings – all have some kind of personal meaning to me.
Wore my new bracelets with some of my other favorites and my silver MK watch out to dinner. I Love Red! My BFF in NYC has the matching red cuff and the design/name of the silver cuff is Music, for my great love of music.
Walked about Austin for a bit before I decided to eat at Annie’s. Super cute country french restaurant that I found on my first day in Austin.
Mmmm Mmmm…Watermelon Martini. This was so good. Not too sweet at all. Simply infused watermelon vodka & fresh squeezed lemon juice. They infuse the vodka in house. Delish!
These Brussels were amazing. Roasted with candied walnuts & olives – perfect combo of sweet & salty. I’ve been eating Brussels Sprouts like crazy the last few weeks!
Schnitzel & Sauteed Spinach.
That pretty much wraps up my second day at Wanderlust! Will be posting Day 3 tomorrow.
