Few photos to share from my fun, long weekend in NYC. Headed up last Thursday morning to catch a very exciting meeting and then spent the rest of the weekend chillin’. Sad to have been Sick in The City but still had an awesome weekend. (kinda hard not to) Friday was nasty, cold & rainy but I still walked for hours. The weekend was chilly, but sunny and absolutely beautiful! Scoped out some new restaurants, walked for daaaays, a little shopping, discovered a sweet, new (to me) latte shop + fun time with friends. Life is good. 🙂
I usually do everything I can to NOT walk thru the madness that is Times Square, but wandering thru the city on a high after my fantastic meeting I was just feelin’ it. so. much. energy. Positively exhilarating.
Flat Iron
Quiet possibly the coolest building in NYC.
Really neat art installation at the bottom of the Flat Iron Bldg.
Union Square Farmers Market
So many beautiful, local & organic fruits, veggies, herbs, breads, flowers…. I got the best cup of hot Pear Cider to sip on while walking around the city.
Friday lunch at City Crab & Seafood Co.
Spicy Maryland Crab Soup and “Louie” Salad
Woke up on Saturday morning to the most gorgeous day…
Coffee at Toby’s Estate Coffee.
OMG. First time here and fell in love. Felt like I walked into the most lovely French country cottage. Amazing coffee bar, flowers, books & music oh! and its connected to Club Monaco. Dangerous!
Super long walk all along the East River…
Followed by a delish Mediterranean brunch at Hummus Kitchen.
Awesome brunch menu — they bring you out these 5 little tapas to start, pick your entree AND all you can drink mimosas. I digg it.
Sunday brunch at Friend of a Farmer in Gramercy Park. Our meal was oh so good and the restaurant itself was right up my alley. Started by a couple from upstate NY, they seriously pulled off creating the most cozy, warm and inviting dining atmosphere.
You can eat as healthy as you like or totally throw in the towel and indulge yourself.
