What You Should Buy From The 2018 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Its that time of year again! The 2018 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is upon us! Right about now, your favorite style bloggers are sharing all things #Nsale and for good reason! How come? From now until August 5, Nordstrom deeply discounts all the newest arrivals & must-haves for fall + a selection of summer items, making it the biggest sale of the year.

Early Access started July 12 and runs until July 19. If you don’t already have a Nordstrom Card, which grants you Early Access to shop the sale, I highly recommend applying for one now. You can do that here. Public Access starts on July 20 and runs thru August 5. Most items and sizes sell out during Early Access so again, if you want your pick of the litter, go ahead and get that Nordy Card. 😉

Pretty much everyone who knows me, knows that I LOVE a good sale. In fact, nearly everything I own has been purchased on sale. As I continue to purge and simplify my closet, I am taking advantage of this years Nordstrom Anniversary Sale to stock up on basics and style staples that can be worn in multiple ways throughout the fall + winter and even take me into next Spring. I’ve written a lot about not falling into trends, as they so easily come and go + really honing into your personal style, which helps to cut down on those one-wear wonders we all have had in our closet at some time or another.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the best time to invest in all those items you wear over & over again over the coming seasons… boots + booties, layering pieces {long sleeves & basic tees}, sweaters, a great pair of denim or two, perhaps a new bag that will stand the test of time, if your in need of some new beauty products, this would be a great time to stock up on those items AND for moi, I have been coveting a new set of luggage and I am seriously eyeing this set of Chevron Luggage Spinner Set.

So far, I’ve made a couple orders online + made one visit into our Nordstrom @ South Park Mall. I actually didn’t go all that crazy, and at this point, I haven’t purchased any shoes other than these ADIDAS Edge Lux Running Shoes – on sale for $63 and will go back up to $85 after the sale. They come in a super cute pink color & grey. I went with the grey and I CANNOT wait for them to arrive. I saw them in store yesterday and they are even cuter than I imagined from the images online. PRO TIP: order in 2 sizes to make sure you get the right one. When shopping online, I almost always order 2 sizes in everything, this way I don’t have to deal with the wait time or returning/re-ordering. I definitely recommend ordering 2 sizes during the Nordstrom Sale, simply because sizes sell out SO quickly!
As far as clothes go, I definitely found myself gravitating towards a lot of fall colors. I walked away with quite a few pieces in Burgundy, this basic PB. V-neck Tee {on sale for 11 bucks! $17 after the sale} in a cute mustard yellow color {perfect to wear with denim + booties this fall} and the cutest pair of PAIGE skinny jeans in a really great olive green color. On sale for $132 and will go up to $200 after the sale. You can check em out here. I also took advantage of the sale to stock up on a few new workout/athleisure pieces like this super cute Zella Sports Bra in red that I’m wearing below {sale price: $25, after sale: $35} and these Zella Live In Leggings among other things. PS: some items aren’t linked in the right color…since so many people are shopping the sale, there’s been a bunch of technical issues going on. For example, the Zella leggings are showing in a green/teal color below, but I purchased them in the Burgundy color.
